Hamburg has great Christmas Markets Hamburg is great for Christmas Markets this time of year - the whole city feels really magical when it gets dark. There are plenty of markets around town and there is nothing better than some gluehwein when it's cold. Have a look.
The End of a Journey Sad to hear that this is the end of your travels. I will miss your updates. I look forward to seeing the pics at Xmas. Have a safe journey home!
I was in Venice then too! I had the best time, saw everything there was to see. I'm going to Florence in Jan/Feb for the 4th time in 2 years! Looking forward to it :)
Mission accomplished Well done y'all for a very entertaining blog-fest of europe. Hope you manage the tower d'eiffel and look forward to seeing the pics that didn't make it online. Bye for now.
And now.......the end is near....and so I face...... A little behind the times but very interested to hear about the time spent in a box. Can only presume that as it was in Italy it would have been very stylish?
A little worried about Dan thrashing about in the river (how the imagination can run riot)but then just the usual Mummy panic! Glad to hear all went well though.
Hope Paris is proving to be a suitably fine end to your travels.
take care one and all.
Love Debbie
YAY! ^__^ Hi! Debbie showed me this blog when she came over, and it sounds like you're having awesome fun! Woot! (just don't scare the pigeons- they can gather an army and take over the world! Muahaha!) Uhhh anyway hi and I miss seeing you Dan *hugs* Give Sam and Ben a big hug for me too! ^_^
Love Roofers
xoxox
I guess Ben will be asking Santa for a waterproof camera for Christmas! It's a good job Sam didn't get her head stuck in the "masse" glass, you would have had to smash it (the glass that is). Have fun in Paris :)
you lucky, lucky ***********s Sorry, about that, but feeling rather jealous having seen your lovely pictures of Venice - never been there, but have always wanted to go. So glad to hear you're all having a great time - make the most of it - you're only young once... We'll do our best here in wet and miserable Scotland to look after your lovely mum. When you're back in Germany, give my love to J S Bach.
Nice birds You guys certainly know how to pull the birds. Hope Dan didn't get any mess on his "treking" blazer(looks very nice).Congrats to Sam for completing the course, medication wise and hope the rest is all beer and fun.Bye for now, off to find the other pics.
Bit late for chocs but... Can't enlighten anyone as to why the chocs and Salzburg but could have suggested trying some for the marzipan lovers (not many I know!) as they are quite yummy. Always a gift to mme from Ruth Dan but never even offered to share.
Keep on trekking
Mum/Deb
Payback Awe poor Sam falling, I hope you didn't hurt yourself. I did have a chuckle though reminded me of put-put golf!
Sounds like you are all having fun enjoying the different cultures - looking forward to seeing the pictures - enjoy :)
Tut tut! Dan? Feeling worse for wear?? Never!!!
Nice to hear you're all going overboard on the experience - you'll look like something close to a fashion parade soon! I hope you get to Venice - one place on your trip I can say I'VE been to - ha! It's gorgeous. Don't miss out the Rialto - stunning.
Look forward to the piccies.
Whats H&M? Good to hear from you guys. The medicinal effects of two girls from Birmingham are well documented, as for being stalked by an American called Bob,now thats a worry. Sixteen meals sounds excessive, but at least you wouldn't fancy another an hour later! Look forward to the pics with you modeling milatary-esque wear, hope we will be able to see you. Keep on Bloggin', Bye for now.
Missing country? How did you all get from Prague to Budapest? Did you give Austria/Slovakia a miss, or am I reading the map wrong?
Who copied who's Parliement building, the Brits or the Hungarians?
Buildings, rugger & ailments Loved the picture of the wavy building and have a feeling Dan might have had an influence on the taking of it. Good prog on Sunday for architectural awards. The McClaren and BMW buildings were up for it and very lovely but the Scottish Parliament building won-contraversial. Hope to go and see it next Monday as we head up to Scotland.
Have been keeping up with the sport. Got involved in discussions about Beckhams's sending of and nearly drove off the road when Leeds scored their (dis-allowed) equaliser. Seems they played badly and I imagine the only plus is that you didn't miss anything Dan.
Strange about the old neck thing as I have been stricken with the same today and am not the only one in school. Not fun is it. Hope you are coping Ben and glad its not stopping your Stadium obsession.
Pashmina sounds very elegant Sam and would quite like pic of you in it, in a suitably elegant setting.
Please fill us in if you ever do find out what the piles of stuff were about.
Not sure where you are now but thinking of you all.
Love Mum/Debbie
Do one! Hi folks, Budapest sounds really "exiting" (sarcastic speech marks). If fast escalators and dog rescues were the highlights of your visit no doubt you have moved on to pastures new and are having fun again!Really enjoying keeping in touch with you all.Just in case-Get well wishes to whoever is suffering whatever at the moment. Bye for now from overcast Harrogate.
