Well it was a quick couple days on the island of Langkawi as a stopover on our way to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Upon arriving at the ferry station in Langkawi I could instantly tell it was a type of resort island tailored for tourists - the station had a KFC (of course... So, so many KFCs), Starbucks, McDonalds and Kenny Chesney's restaurant?? Anyways a half hour taxi to the motel we wanted to stay at costed about 8$ or 24 Malaysian ringettes. Fortunately when we arrived they had a beachside room available for us, which we eagerly took even if it was a "hefty" price of $40/night. We figured we deserved it after our experience in Satun. Our motel was run by Muslim people so it wasn't really too rowdy and no alcohol
