Sorry to hear you got a bug in South America, but it may be some consolation to know that you don't have to travel abroad to get sick ... or injured. In the last week Bernie has had gastro (last Thursday) and then ran into a car on his bike on Tuesday. He was trying to start his ATB training campaign and only got as far as Essex Park Drive, Endeavour Hills on his way to Rowville!! He's OK, just a skun elbow, but its going to cost $1,070 to get his road bike back on the road. Last night he strained something in his heel and can barely walk this morning!!! I think you are keeping better in the wilds of South America. Looking forward to your next update.

Hi Phil. Totally loving your travel blog. The places you are seeing sound amazing and the photos are spectacular. I feel like I'm having a holiday within your holiday!!
