Greetings from Durbs Hi You two, it is great hearing all your news and you are really doing an excellent narrative - are you going to write a book? Your adventures are better than Born Free!! Hope you have recovered from all the sniffing and snorting. I have found that if you drink enough it kinda gets rid of all the germs (anaesthetic). Miss you both and keep on adventuring. Love Cheryll
You made Nanyuki So glad you met the family and they looked after you so well. Karina had her baby boy on the 18th all well and he is Digby Max Simpson - lots of excitement but Caroline was sad not to be there in time. She flies on the 25th so he will already by a week old. Amanda and family are having a wonderful time at Lake Turkana and leave for the long drive back on Monday. If you get this before Arusha don't forget my sister Jo if you need any help. Safe driving and enjoy it all.
You're in the best part of Kenya Well done both of you, you're doing so well. It is a small world and I recognised Rosalie's face in the photo immediately. Hope you go through Nanyuki and don't forget Mummy is expecting you if you want and you must stop at Barneys restaurant at the Nanyuki airfield to see Karina and have something to eat there - they will be thrilled to see you. How much longer before you leave Kenya? Safe travelling and they're right keep your eyes open. Have fun and take good care.
Red Rhino!!! What with Red Elephants now u guys are seeing Red Rhinos!!! I think you have been drinkin tooo much of the stuff u make on your Est???? What next "Blue Flamingos"...... I have never crossed the Equator over land only on the sea and in the air is there a "red" line marked on the ground?
Keep safe and enjoy the trip back.
Cheers
Tony.

Reason for no skype ;) Hi, Rolf.
Nice idea and i hope, (actually believe in!), that you not only survive your adventurous trip, but return in good condition, too.
Tried to get into contact and now know the reason for failing.
I must tell you, first I was a little jealous, but whilst further reading, I am not that sure any more ;}.
Hope to get in closer contact after you return, cause we are doing some strange plans, I would like to discuss with you.
Have a good trip and a lot of good luck.
Theo
Africa for all Dear Rolf and Vanessa,
ovely to read about your"awesome " experiences. We had a similiar extravaganza on Tuesday. We walked around Robberg in Plett. The sea was so clear. We saw a Southern Right Whale as well as a Great White circling some seals. He must have had a good breakfast and swam towards the Beacon Isle .I am now sitting at 34 deg South linked to a Hot spot enjoyng a steaming cappucinno. Wishing you well and less wakeups on the porches of locals.
Our activity tomorrow is the Knysna MountainBike race in the forest.Rain is imminent. It is going to rain tonight and tomorrow in Wellington and the chance here in Kysna is 30%.I hope not otherwise we will be skiddinglike you said you did and worse.
Have more fun.Regards-HuisUys
JEALOUSY... I am so incredibly JEALOUS of the fantastic sights you're seeing! But I am very glad to hear that you've had no major mishaps and that you're enjoying it so much.

Keep going well It sounds great and know all will continue to go well for you. Sorry about the rain but hopefully it will only get better. Lovely weather here for the last 2 days but cloud, rain and cold setting in again tomorrow. We are having a true Cape winter this year. Let us know if we can help but will need your routing. All the best and drive carefully - the roads will be good and bad.
Sounds fantastic! Hi Rolf and Vanessa,
Last blog sounded just perfect. Think we will have to get on the next flight to Kenya!!! It must be fantstic, and we look forward to your next installment - and to having you back - eventually!!!! How long do you intend staying in your new found paradise?!!!!!
Lots of love
Pauline and Roger xx
Advice on Kenya Hello despite your comments on Zanzibar we long to go there though it doesn't surprise us about the less friendly people. I'm not sure what you've heard about Kenya so can't really give you advice. You shouldn't have any problem just keep your eyes open and your wits about you. Let us know your route so maybe we can advise a little more. Please use the contacts we gave you if you need any immediate advice or help - they will all be able to help. It's a beautiful country with very nice people so enjoy, drive carefully, not at night - you will be used to taxi driving but watch out for the buses too! Lots of love and let us know if we can help more. It's very wintery here with a little snow on our mountains this morning.
Not again You two seem to get yourselves into the most adventurous modes imagineable.... first fire and now water. Glad it turned out ok this time.
Ditto to the statement that we are enjoying your blogs, its great to keep up with where you are and the stories are great. Keep enjoying

weiterhin sichere Reise Hallo Ihr Beiden!
Alles Liebe Andreas & Sabine
Hello from Australia Dear Rolf and Vanessa
We are still all good, just can't wait for our Phuket and SA trip. We will leave on Thursday night and be back in Melbourne on the 17th of July. That same day 2 Korean students will arrive to stay with us for 3.5 weeks. At the moment i am frantically busy to reorganise the house, pack, etc.
Thank for all your wonderful blogs. Take good care of yourself.

Safe travelling and enjoy Well done you are making good progress and it sounds fantastic. Best to avoid night driving in Kenya as well. Don't forget to use the contacts we gave you especially if you need help. Take good care and we enjoy all your updates. All the best and love from us both.
Zanzibar Wow!!! We are so enjoying your blogs from afar. We have always hoped to get to Zanzibar one day at about this time of year--because of the temperature being slightly cooler. Take loads of pics so we can see them in Dec.Enjoy and keep well..
We wish you a nice time at Zansibar and we are waiting for a new report.
Ihr geht anscheinend auch keinem Abeuteuer aus dem Weg. Das mit dem fast abgesoffenen Auto hört sich gut an. Mal was neues!
Also Vorsicht !!!!
