Making me green with envy
Orla. Great to hear that you are enjoying yourself in one of the most beautful parts of Spain. We have visited this area many times. Reading about your trips to eat all that seafood!!!!!! yum yum. When you go to Jerez do try and visit a sherry Bodeaga,it is the best value for money drink on the market. Try the Fino or visit Sanlucar de Barrameda for the Manzanilla the dryest and most glorious of all the sherries. As you see Aoife and myself are real sherry fans. One restaurant you must visit in Cadiz and that is El Faro probably the finest seafood restaurant in all of Andalucia. Do also try to get to Cordoba to visit the La mesquita if you can. The AVE train runs directly from Seveille to Cordoba we used it once. We spent a week at the Seville Expo in 19992 ,what a time that was, i laughed at how cold you found it and time we have been there it was at least 30C and in Sept 1991 it was over 40C!!!. Must go will talk again soon.

Glad to see you're settling in.
Hi Orla. Looks like you are finding you feet, as they say, in Cadiz. Now you know what its like to be a teacher! Been there done that! Pics look great - warm and inviting (snow and -10 here in Chicago). Keep up the blog and enjoy your stay in Spain; June will be here before you know it. Donal

Excellent Photo!
Excellent Photo, Orla, and what a thrill it must have been to finally reach Machu Picchu. I've only been following your exploits via this blog for a few days but it sounds like you are having the time of your life (so far I'm sure!). We were planning on touring Peru and S America a couple of years ago but work intervened. Some day I want to take a picture at that exact spot! By the way I also love the picture of you on Nato! Lookong forward to more exciting installments! Have a Blast! Donal

Spiders
HI Pet, How you must have enjoyed inspecting spiders in the jungle. When I think of you insisting I remove our tiny little Irish spiders from your room because you are afraid to get rid of them yourself.......!! You seem to have a very busy schedule - you'll need a holiday when you come home. All are well here with little news to report. Evin is due home from Freshers Week tomorrow. When we last heard from him he had joined three clubs and had gone on a pub crawl with one of them - the Surf Club. Keep safe. Lots of love from your Mammy

Hi pet, glad to see that you survived the jungle. You are really having a great experience. You are missing nothing at home except the recession which awaits you when you return. I hope you find the bus journey back to Lima not too difficult and that the group you are joining are sound. Let me know when you make contact with them. All are well here. Evin goes to Dublin on Sunday to start Freshers Week but will be home on Friday as the Drumlin Rally is next weekend. He has a new driver as Eamonn has retired from Navigations. Dad and I may be going Belfast on Sat to the Open House Festival. No firm plans yet. I am moving back to reception at work and taking on new duties such as calling customers to pay up. I have been a bit underemployed these past months. Dearbhla started piano with her new teacher on Wed. Her lesson is an hour long now, so I have to take up walking to pass the time waiting for her. She also started back at Guides to night. Your Dad is busy at meetings as well as work. Keep well and keep safe. Lots of love.

Hello
hey chicken, How is all goin?? I was reading your stories and it sounds amazing out where u are. Are u enjoying the experience so far? i was losing the head ther tryin to work out how to leave u a mgs on tis. Very confusin for me anyway. no news here still busy in work, everyone is back at college so ther are only a few of us about. Ive started helpin Andrew out with the field studies. we had a group of 25 lads in for geography and they went wild when they we went out to the water to get the measurements. I hope that will be the worst group we have. Good introduction for me. Loads of these groups booked in for geog and biology in the next few weeks. Ive injuried my arm at d mo and cant lift anything heavy, Im blaming cuttin the hedge last week for Granny. Spend almost two hours wit hedge clippers cutting away, didnt leave much of the hedge. Im treatin it myself so hopefully wit a bit of rest and support from the bandage ive on it, it will get better. How was your trip to the jungle?? How hot is it?? Bet is not as nice as here. rain, rain and more rain is what we are gettin here. Mark says 'hello'. He's gettin on alright wit his new job, he's just having trouble wit one class but he's well able for them. the school is very badly mannered, the kids have no respect for their teachers so he was sayin. He's teaching Geography, PE, Religion and SPHE. I think PE is the hardest as he had no facilities, no equipment (only wot he has bought himself) and the school has never had a PE teacher before so the older years wont bring in gear. So it hard work but he still says its the best decision he made. well i think thats all my news, Take Care of youself, Lots of Love, xxxxxxxx

well, since i doubt anyone but you knows the difference between canoeing and kayaking, gagi may well be doing one or the other. i'll be on bebo on the weekend, i hope, if i can kick evin off for five seconds...though that has been made slightly easier by the fact that he got road-rash jailbreak for the playstation. y'know, the one with the sidecars we used to have. yeah. that one. it's back. evin has taken on the persona of a five-year-old with a new toy, not that there's any much difference from his usual self...he insists that i play with him at every opportune moment, and un-opportune moments...he even wants me to forget about my homework or just not go to school so i can play with him. *shudder*. well, not much else going on that mammy hasn't already touched on in the omment she was writing before i kicked her off the computer...sooooooo...asta la vista, orla. xxx :P

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii orla! lol daddy tried to post a comment earlier but, as he tried to do it on his own without any assistance, he failed. miserably. so, just so's you know, we're not ignoring you. completely. lol. sooooooooooo been reading your comments, sounds like...fun. jugs? lol. not much news from home, fionnuala, gagi and noel are safely in america, even though they caught the end of hurricane gustav! apparently, gagi is going kayaking on the mississippi. yes, you read that correctly. emmmmmmmmm, evin wants to tell you that ireland's budget is being brought out on the 14th of october this year. ¬_¬...yes. are you on bebo at all? anything else you want to hear about? cause i've having a blank right now. sorry lol. well, i'd better send this before daddy comes back and tries to rewrite it. knowing him, he'll probably crash the computer instead. lol. slán!!! xxx :P
