I'm collecting Canadians! In Munich for that matter! Saturday - after a quiet day to myself I met Jessi at the train station. She's been staying with her host family in Venice for the last little while. I know it sounds like a dream vacation, but alas things are far more complicated than that. Wednesday was a day to myself, a day to remember that I am on holiday and therefore push myself to do nothing. I was up early and off to walk around the city. My favourite path to walk is from the hostel to Ludwigstrße (where the StudioBühne is) through Marineplatz. I walked the loop and stopped by one of the museums I so enjoy only to find out they're in the process of setting up a new exhibit and it won't be open until today. (Slower please!) Ladies and gentlemen, we have a learning curve. Please note that this "curve" is actually more of a ninety degree angle - which makes the "curve" more of an "obstacle resembling a wall" than anything else. I was also contemplating titling this entry "back in the world of beautiful gentlemen" but decided that this statement is the most relevant right now. I didn't sleep on the plane and that may have been the root of my problem. Kate picked me up from the airport - she's an amazing soul who rented a car with her boyfriend for the occasion. They made sure I was safe and sound at the hostel before disappearing to return the car and run a few errands. I'm here! Safe and sound and in one piece - with all of my luggage too! The flights weren't bad at all - a lot of babies from Calgary to Toronto and a peaceful ride right behind the space-ship section of the aircraft on the way to Munich. Checked into the hostel - had a shower - chatted (in German!) with the gentleman who cleans the place.
