I am an insurance professional and live in Gurgaon (New Delhi).
India is a place which one would require a lifetime to see fully. I am glad to be in India and during my lifetime I would definitely see the country i live in completely. I have travelled widely in the following states of India:- Himachal Pradesh,Haryana, Delhi, Uttaranchal, Gujarat, West Bengal, Maharashtra and last but not the least, Goa. So any of you guys travelling to these parts of India can write in to share notes.

13th May – This is the day it all started. Somehow the day happened to be Friday the 13th and we faced one of the situations in life that we did not like. But rather than being depressed with it, we decided to look at it from a positive point of view. One of the things we did was plan a holiday. We started off with a driving holiday in New Zealand but gave that up since it was likely to be cold and we would have a problem taking 12-14 days off. Backwaters
16-Dec-06 Well well, almost seems like a distant dream since I had the accident on 10th November. Was planning to go to Gangtok. Instead landed up in Thailand. Had a difficult start yesterday since we had to take a 8:40 AM flight, which meant being in the airport by 6:40 AM. Add to that we had to drop off my mom-in-law at the domestic airport and as usual I was late. Which meant she missed her flight. Total chaos. I was really sorry about it coz i got her into trouble and she was herself having a very difficult time fighting fever while on a journey. Entering Himachal Pradesh
And this is how it all started….. One rainy Saturday, I and Dimple, my wife, were sitting at home sipping beer we realized that we had a long weekend break coming up. As always, the first thought that came to our mind was making our weekend getaway plan. Out came Outlook’s 52 weekend breaks from Delhi. And soon afterwards, the locations were decided. We selected Dalhousie & Mcloedganj since we had not visited that valley before. After the selection of the location, what remained to be decided was the mode of transport and the Chosen Couple to travel with us. First view from the resort
I have been to a number of beach resorts, in India as well as the South East Asia, but there are few places which match the beauty of this place. Had been to this place in February 2005. Was travelling with a group of 10 friends. I was based out of Mumbai at then. We had to bunk respective office for a couple of days to make our escape. The journey wasn't so great. Had to take a train on the Konkan railway from Mumbai to a place called Kudal. From there we had to take taxis to Tarkarli. The pot-holed road went up and down on the Indian coastal countryside. Tarkarli is a very small place on the Maharashtra Goa border and has a MTDC resort as a only decent place of accomodation. The road ... read more
