19th Oct. Drove from Fitzroy Crossing To Halls Creek,, better known as Hells Crack and decided it was a one night only stay so we set off at a pace to the China Wall, Old Halls Creek, Palm Springs, and Saw Tooth Gorge. Then we turned the other way and did a big stint out part of the Tanami to Wolf Creek Crater (large Meteorite Crater). On the way we blew a tyre and on the return trip we lost the spotlights, fistly the bolt snapped and then the wiring failed so it was a slow trip out in the dark trying to dodge cattle. There also happened to be an under-age disco in Halls Creek so it was a rowdy evening and the caravan park fence got set on fire. 20th Oct. Drove from Halls ... read more

30th Sept. No car part today as they took the freight off the plane. and now the weekend and Monday is a public holiday so we sit and we wait, reading, cards and the pool to cool us down every hour or so. 1st Oct. We decided if the car could not drive us up Mount Nameless then we would have to walk it. The highest mountain in W.A. that you can drive up it is a big red bluff that has views over the Hamersley Ranges and the Mine at Tom Price. We left at sunrise to beat the heat. For the first 15 minutes my heart did back flips as we climbed up steps and cliff face to scale the first third of its height. Then there was another 35 minutes of a steep ... read more

Sorry we have not updated the web for a while however we have spent 3 web sessions trying to download immages on to the blog. However this is not working for us. We are not sure if it is because our new camera is taking photo's too l;arge to download and we can not download the program to make them smaller either. We will share pictures when we get home although I am not poetic enough to describe some of the amazing views that we have been able to see so far on our trip. 16th Sept. This morning we said a sad and fretful goodbye to Dennis and Dave as we put them on a plane for Melbourne and a week later we are having so much fun that we hardly miss them but have ... read more

Hi all. Since settling in to life here we don't do too much out of life routines to be updating the site all the time. Well what has been going on. Since Nards birthday and a bit of a birthday bash he went for a joyflight in a Cap 10 aerobatic plane. We all set ourselves up on the foreshore out the front as the weekend before we were watching the same plane form there. However for clear airspace they had to go further down the coast to do all the tricks and all we saw was a fly by (Nard actually had his hands on the controls). We have been for drives out to the water dams up in the hills. We went to a botanical garden called Araluen further north in the hills. Jules ... read more

Hi to you all. A while scince our last blog update. No we have not dropped off the face of the earth however now I am working there is less time to play up on the computers. However, now that I am at work, literally at work on a sleep shift I have some time to update while the residents sleep. After having some issues with starting work I have scince been in training. For a month. Not that I have not been doing this job now for 10 years and have more qualifications than most staff I am working with but I was not so much as allowed to take a resdents for a walk in the park unsupervised. Can you tell my frustrations in the tone of my computer voice. However, I have in ... read more

Feb 18 - 24 Jez and Mel came up from Margaret River this weekend to hang out with us and their family in Fremantle. Nard and I tagged along and went on a tour of the Fremantle prison. First a convict colony and then a prison up until the 1990's. Not a place I would have holidayed at the time. Jules and I finally got a day to hang out and on Sunday morning went to the markets in Freo. Nard began working this week for a company that makes bali huts and decks to go into peoples back yards and resorts. We managed to catch a movie (Date Movie) and I (still unemployed) went to Freo with Sandy. Feb 25 - 3 We went to see Narnia at the outdoor cinema at Kings Park. Nard ... read more

Feb 3 Today we droped Dave off to the vets and had lunch with Jane and Peter in Mandurah at her sisters house. The views from there were beautiful with being surounded by native bushland and a view to water on 2 sides and had lunch with a family of Splendid Wrens. We had updated our last web page and Sandy dropped us back home in the boat with a lovely moonlit view as wed came back from the island. Feb 4 Nard spent the night at a friends house so he could be up early to go fishing on the boat. Nard cought a Trevalley and one of the other blokes cought a 53 cm whiting that they cooked up on the BBQ for lunch. Meanwhile I went for a walk down the beach to ... read more

25th Jan After using the net to update the blog we went back to the beach for a swim and spent the afternoon doing ordinary things before heading to Helms Aboretum. This is a reserve planted out with maybee 80 - 100 types of different eucalypt dotted amongst some other W.A. natives. 26th Jan We finally brought ourselves to leave Esperence today and drove to Ravensthorp where we had lunch. The drive in this area goes trough a 'biosphere' a large area of native bushland that the plants and animals can evolve naturally that is Fitzgerald N.P. It is beautiful native bushland that we could not enter into the core of however got great views of the landscape as we were driving. We camped right on the edge of the N.P. at Bremer Bay . 18th Jan Well we left Ceduna after a morning of drama trying to update our blog there. So after several hours there instead of 1 we were able to update. The good news however was that due to our late departure from Ceduna we were still in range to hear the news of Sammy being an Autie yet again with Moo moo, a boy without a name, being born to Craig, Lou and Finny. From there we had a short drive to Fowlers Bay where we camped for the night. The beach there is not fantastic for swiming as there is loads of sea weed however there is a nice pier and awsom samd dunes we climed up to enjoy the sunset. 19th Jan Fowlers Bay ended up being a mosquito haven so we decided rather than ... read more

Tuesday 1oth From Androssan we got a permit to camp along the Trougbridge tourist drive at a spot called Kemp Bay. We camped on top of the cliffs in the most sheltered spot we could find. Wednesday 11th We drove from Kemp bay up through Moonta Bay where we stopped for a walk and an ice cream. Drove from there to Port Broughton for lunch and on to Port Augusta where on attempting to take the dogs to the water to cool off I got stuck in a bog. We also went to a historic lookout with great 360 views of the area. From there we drove along the road past the Mt Remarkable National Parks and Telowie George Conservation Park which would become our view from the other side of the bay where we camped ... read more
