I am soo sorry! OMG Mary! What a scary start to your trip. I would of been so terrified. It seems like you handled it very well though, and i am very glad you are safe and sound! I miss you!
That is funny about the chicken! It sounds like you are learning a lot of good teaching tools. I will have get some lessons from you (like I have before!) Enjoy the rest of your trip and I can't wait to read and hear more!
Amazing that teachers get to teach whatever they want, whenever they want. Interesting concept, huh?? And the two recess periods a day - I would love that. We all miss you and are glad you are having a good time. You beat us on the amount of snow you got though!
Pickled Herring!! Oh My Gosh!!! When I lived in Germany with Uncle Ben I had to eat Pickled Herring Potato Salad.....I ate the potatoes and said I was full...YUCK!!!!
I'm so excited for you, Mary! Reading all your posts make me anxious to study abroad next semester too =D I can't wait! And it looks like you're learning and having lots of fun! It's incredible how much we can learn in such a short amount of time in a foreign environment. Keep on posting! and continue on enjoying yourself over there on your last week =)
Norway food So weird thing about this is that I have eaten at the Norway restaurant at EPCOT in Disney World and they have some of this same stuff! Of course its been Americanized a little BUT thats cool that I have eaten some of that too! haha!
Welcome to international world ! Mary,
I'm glad you kept trying. Now you've learned what it's like to be where you're the one who doesn't understand the language. Sign language works sometimes but then again ...
I'm glad you and Brittney kept going. What stories you can share with your students when you return !!
glad to hear you made it Oh the slippery slope of not knowing the country's native language! What a lot you have learned already, my little one!
I'm sure tomorrow will be better. Love ya kiddo!
