how we long for mountains... At last another blog from you, we're having withdrawal symptoms! Never been to Tibet - sounds fantastic. Spent a few years in Switzerland so we know how gorgeous snow capped mountains are. Be careful, they make you long for more! And Weston-super-Mare won't satisfy that as you know!
Lots of love and hope to read more soon, Tess and Paul x
Good luck in China etc Literally back from Spain, did not get any blogging done however.
Have a great adventure Sally, I understand both China and Mongolia are exeptionally beautiful places in their own ways, with exeptionally friendly people.
Hope your bank card troubles sort themselves out,
love Tess x
Being run over by an elephant is not cool! More photos please, Sal. Love the pictorial additions to the previous blogs and remember, being run over by an elephant is NOT cool! Lolxx
dragged screaming and kicking..... Sorry John u were right and we had to drag you out to the pub- I seem to rememer somebody was so desperate for that drink they left their onion half peeled on the kitchen table! The guide is coming in fantastically useful ( thanks), and I increased my good karma by donating my NZ guide to a good cause!
Enjoy your trip Tess, and look forawrd to your blog too! x
out of the blue person... ...glad to see I made such an impression! Hope the guideĀ“s coming in handy and the hangoverĀ“s gone. I arrived in Santiago and promptly fell asleep...for 18 hours! I blame a similar inability to be rude and say no...

Bon voyage Have a good trip - never been to Thailand but have good friends from there.
We're off to a slightly less exotic place tomorrow for a couple of weeks, visisting mum-in-law in Southern Spain. Good weather forcast. I may write a small blog from there, we'll see.
Glad your bites are better, the ping-pong ball however is more disturbing!
Tess xx
thanks.... for kind comments. Theresa have just started to read your blog ( forgot it was on here until now!)- especially like day 4 description of sunrise; but where are all the photos of you?!!
Hi Trude- I'm not really! I just figured the grief I'd get for not doing any 'adventure' sport at Queensland would be worse long term than the temporary grief attached to doing this! I also followed the saying 'look before you leap'.....only in my case I glanced before I ambled, and that was enough....! x
Loving your Blog Loving your Blog. Hope others are enjoying it as much as we are!
Keep up the adventuring and let us know all about it. Is anyone else enjoying it?
This is too funny....wish I was there! Hi Sally,
I am enjoying your blog enormously - haven't laughed this much for weeks! (Great anitidote to the dentist's letter last Friday advising us that Mr Spittal is going completely private......we miss you!).
Really, your travels sound great, I know it may be hard going at the time but it's wonderful that you are putting so much into it. And it sounds like you're meeting lots of good people. Sorry about your photos. Lots of love Tess, Paul, Scott and Anja xx
Oh no! Serious jetlag! Hence sitting looking VERY rough at a hostel internet terminal at Venice Beach, LA, at 5am while my roommates try to out-snore one another.Following much exhausting clucking and arm-flapping ( to no avail) I have learned lesson 1- don't try to discuss the current world situation of bird-flu if language differences preclude even swapping the most general niceties- it aint gonna happen!!
Anyhow, currently embarking on a round the world tour involving Los Angeles, New' Zealand, Thailand, China overland through Himalayas and then into India for up to 6 months.Far too old to... full info
