dharamkot drama wow vida... i know ALL of this like the back of my hand! the "random corner store" belongs to our dear friend... we lived just a short hike through the woods from there. i probably know the old man too... and the sweet veggie wallah who sells his wares from the little shack just down the lane... poor dharamkot, swollen to bursting from all the israeli tourists, necessitating ever more rocks and mortar... but they do have the best pizza in all of northern india!!! CHECK IT OUT!!! love, karen
yum.... you and jason are having such a sweet pilgrimage.... i am just overjoyed seeing all the images of this very precious place, re-living my own memories through the wonderful experiences that you are both having. relish every moment... it will nourish your spirit for a lifetime. we'll be here waiting when you come back to THIS paradise... much love, karen
Good-morning! Good-morning Miss Vida! This was the perfect start to my day, reading your blog. Your travels sound so magical and wonderful! I love the playfulness of the nuns, and the sweetness of the dalai lama. You are very much alike them full of sweetness, play, love, laugh, and good energy. Oh, it makes me very happy and rejuvenated a bit like I myself had left the country. Very good. Big hug for you and Jason. Love, Virginia
Plain sweet All I can say is, "Let the kittens be loved!" Sounds like I could fit in well with the nuns, between the love of tea and being a goof! xoxomama
Adventure! So, no orange vested, hard-hatted workers coning off the work zone? All is new! Be safe, Lovies..but I do believe you are shrouded by protection..I know I send that surrounding light quite often!! ..but the angels do most of the work! xoxmama
Good-day! What a scare! Hearing the word "bomb" gets scary... especially when you don't know the whole story. I am happy to hear your taking up lessens! I can just picture you in India with pencil in hand drawing!!! That makes me happy to picture! I look forward to seeing some of your work... You should take a picture for us of the white Tara, and post it?!?! Hope you continue having a beautiful day and night!
Lovely!! Your pictures are beautiful I look forward to seeing more. I am glad to hear that you have got to experience the appropriate balance of serenity and reality. Where are the pics of the half-naked macho men? ;-) hehe Sooooo is India all you dreamed of? I wish I could just pop over and enjoy a delicious meal with you and J. Miss you!! Represent us Americans well. xoxox j
Hello! I can't even imagine standing amongst hundreds and greeting the Dalai Lama!!!! I believe you've both seen him present before, but this is a completely different situation/setting. Wow! It makes me happy to know that you both will be with the Dalia Lama, soaking in his knowledge, as I take my test. Yeah. One more thing before I get back to my studies... I absolutely love the photo of you two at the Bali festival, you guys are glowing!!!!!! Love you both!
you write beautifully- I feel as if i were there exploring the mountains and picturesque hillsides with you! i'm sorry for your and jason's altitude sickness, but it sounds like you're having a fantastic time nonetheless!
Yeah!!!! I am so happy to hear that you two made it and are safe! I am glad you are staying with a nice family, and have vegi's and tea within your reach. Have fun exploring the mountains and lakes of Leh! Love you both lots!
learning the new dances of new lands.. So, you slithered through to your place of desire..'tis the wriggle out of the cocoon of what you know..to what you have never lived -the dance steps of this new land..
..and the dance goes to me, too, always imagining with you..like the prayer flag reality..so funny to say that I'm re-placing a photo/collage of my footstool..started with an amazing picture llena de prayer flags..and mountains..and a monk busy focusing on working..xoxo
Horray! You're on your Way! Blessings beauties!!! I wish you love, luck, health, and splendor on your great journey. I love you both. I am excited to read all about it in this blog. Arcata will be here when you get back : )
