Fiji- we spent a few days on the main land before heading out on the Yasawas islands and then back to main land. We visited 5 beautiful islands; Nanuya lai lai, Naviti, Waya lai lai, Beachcomber and Malolo Island! Spent the days on the beach, played volleyball, made coconut bracelets, went kayaking, celebrated Laura's 23rd Birthday, drank Kava, and weaved baskets. We drove through the Homer Tunnel to get to Milford Sound where we went on a scenic cruise around the Fiordland...the highlight of the trip was a FREE sandwich at the end! Saw some amazing views on the drive! ... read more

We stopped off at the night at Wanaka, and when we woke up it was Megans Birthday! We saw Lake wanaka, then moved onto Queenstown for some birthday celebrations, we treated ourselves to a nice dinner! ... read more

After Abel Tasman National Park we drove down the west coast stopping off at small towns; Westport and Greymouth down to Franz Josef! When we got to Franz Josef we did a half day Glacier walk. We walked through the rainforest until we got to the glacier where climbed 1km up through a ice tunnel to a top of a glacier. It was amazing, and surprisingly easy to walk on. Abel Tasman National Park- We drove from Nelson to a tiny village in the National Park called Marahau where we took a boat ride to Split Apple Rock and Seal island. The boat dropped us off at Tonga Bay where we walked 14km in 4 hours to Torrent bay. We walked through the forest, it was very scenic, we saw waterfalls, lagoons, penguins, seals and crossed the death bridge (a piece of rope suspended 20 metres above rocky terrain). ... read more

Nelson- After getting the ferry over from Wellington-Picton we drove to Nelson where we went horse riding around mountains, farmland and little rivers, it was very picturesque! We managed to find a small pub to watch the first England game- a very early morning start 6.30am! ... read more

We slept outside someones house and woke up to snow... no wonder we were shivering all night! Tongariro has extremely changeable weather all year round, and has 3 active volcanoes! We opted for a leisurely stroll rather than teaming up with all the hikers. Although cold it was definately a bonus seeing the ranges covered in snow... very pretty!!... read more

For probably the first time since we've been away we split up for the day in Waitomo. Laura, Malve and Hannah went on a caving trip whilst Megan had her own little adventure watching rabbits get sheared! The 3 of us had a really good time exploring the glow worm caves, we abseiled, Rock Climbed, and got very wet! Megs went on a little boat trip through the glow worm caves too and got to see the caves from the comfort of a dry boat! ... read more
