After Abel Tasman National Park we drove down the west coast stopping off at small towns; Westport and Greymouth down to Franz Josef! When we got to Franz Josef we did a half day Glacier walk. We walked through the rainforest until we got to the glacier where climbed 1km up through a ice tunnel to a top of a glacier. It was amazing, and surprisingly easy to walk on. The glacier was approximately 340m above sea level.
