Love the mtns!
The Andes are really pretty, so different looking than ours! So my question is about schools, do they go through their summer (our winter) or do they get a summer vacation? Enjoy the last week or so, can't wait to hear the stories in person. Feel free to check out puppyfind.com, you can search by breed...its how we got our pup :) If you want, I can email you my password and name for the website so you don't have to pay the small registration fee. That or the King or Pierce county humane societies have pretty good websites too for checking out their current adoptables. Hasta luego!

Nice job keeping it on the DL...
I have to say, with the wonderful adventures/events/experiences you are having I am really greatful for one thing in particular ~ that you tell AFTER the fact that you have been hitch hiking with strangers, and back packing on trails that are supposed to be closed due to difficult conditions. Have a wonderful time in Bariloche! Love and hugs to both of you!

Amazingly crazy!
I am astounded at your gutsiness in climbing up and over the rocks with full packs on!! I think I would have been worried about toppling over backward. I am LOVING your blogs and pictures. The mountains appear to be so very different from ours here--and we're simply enjoying hiking around our mountains. Your pictures show such spectacular scenery.

What a sweet birthday present...multiple posts to your blog within the last week, a shoutout on your famous blog (which by association now makes me famous)...dang!! I guess 25 won't be so bad. The glacier is so pretty! I started reading this book called "Ice Bound" (If I am remembering right) about a doc wintering over at the south pole who diagnoses and then treats her own breast cancer until a plane can pick her up at the end of the winter. It's really good and makes me think of you...ice, doctor, south of the equator :) you should read it when you return this summer. Can't wait to read more Latham adventures!

It's so strange to think of fall and snow with spring springing around here :) It's cool that none of the animals are afraid of you, maybe they are professional beggars for food from hikers. Keep up the posting, I get to forget the stresses of "real" life when I read them. Miss you and stay warm/safe!!

what a pleasant surprise!
Hey!! I randomly checked your blog this morning and there was a new post!! And I didn't even get the update email yet. Oh today will be a good day :) I like the idea of the surprises in the chocolate eggs, just be careful not to ingest a puzzle piece, haha! You are not missing anything here, it was 37 degrees this morning...ugh! Pretty funny story about there being no church too, probably some mean Argentinean joke sending those silly English speaking people on a wild goose chase :P Enjoy your last week in the city!
