um herro
I so know what it is!!! my friends didn't... i was saying the waiter's hair made him look like a macaroni penguin, he didn't call me one. SO my friends totally didn't get the reference, it was awkward. does it make sense now teusch??? :) hope you're keeping yourself busy. call me sometime ma'am! -Leah

I wish there were firefighters outside my house.
I can't believe you don't know what a macaroni penguin is! They're the penguins that have the funny yellow-orange plumes on both sides of their head. They're kind of strange-looking, so I can't imagine why Sven/Bjorn/Swedish-guy would compare you to one... Everything you're doing sounds really cool. And the whole forest fire thing is definitely interesting...I mean, we know they exist but it must be totally different to have that be a real fact of life.

I packaged up your mandolin today so dad can ship it to you. maybe those banjo players will let you join them sometime. you could make so many new friends and maybe learn some of those sweet dance moves. haha

Well PAAAAM looks like you've found a great niche for the Summer! The town sound like Northern Exposure --- remember that TV show in the early 90's? Where the lady had a log for a baby? Pretty funny... I'll look for some DVDs of it to send.... Looks like a great place....nice small town environment... This blog is a great idea ..... I will look forward to your entries!
