cool Hey luke, I'm glad you are out there having fun and meeting new people. This is what it is all about buddy. I'm very proud of you. You are growing and changing for the better. Be safe and I love You!
Awesome blog! Hi Lucas! I just realized today that your blog existed! LOL I started with week 8 and have worked my way to week 6.
Sounds like your having a great time with the exception of a few protests and some fighting in the streets of Santiago..which sounded scary to me! Love seeing all the pictures. You look happy and like you've really enjoyed this experience.
Time is winding down now so keep on enjoying and seeing as much as you can! Take care...travel safe!! Look forward to seeing more blogs soon!!! ;-)
Hey there! I love hearing about your adventures, Luke!
but what about classes??? Not much here about that part of your trip!!!!
Thinking of you often,
Aunt deb :)
subway and jimmy john's just an fyi, your "down to the subway"pic is in fact a driveway up from an underground parking garage. subway (or metro, rather) stations don't look like that. plus they can be identified through the metro sign, the three red diamonds in an oval. glad you enjoyed santiago. it's a great town. cheers!
Great!! Lucas,
Sounds like you got a wonderful host family. I should get myself a host family to have as much fun as you are having. YOu can not pay a great family even with a thousand lucas !! : )
Nerds! Great to hear about how your time is going! Sounds like it's been quite an adventure so far. Glad to hear that you're getting along well with your host family. And LOVE it that you taught them to play Nerds! ;-) You should start uploading some photos of your host family/your room/the city you are living in. Would love to see it.
Love
Abby
right on target hey there. just browsing your travelblog. great experience so far. the first few days are always the scariest (i'm chilean, but studied abroad in madagascar). if you go to SCSU perhaps you've been to nicollet mall in minneapolis (i don't exactly know where you're from), the Target store on the mall is a multi-level store and has a shopping cart escalator. i've also seen them in new york. the supermarket in antananarivo madagascar also had one. they're not common in the US but they do exist. it was a bit goofy the first time i had to use one too. anyway, happy trails.
