Managed to source some very sort after tickets to see a football (and its NOT called soccer apparently) match in the premiere league through Peter. Went with my cousin Rach who was slightly more clueless than I was about the whole football occasion. Fantastic tickets we were in the middle of the Arsenal goal, 6 rows back. Arrived in Worcester on the 21 April (and I have been so slack that I haven't updated this until now!). Went to stay for an extended weekend with my friend Chris R. Left Colchester about 10 o'clock with a bit of a stop on the way through London - Picadilly Circus, before catching the tube to Paddington Station to make my way accross the midlands to Worcester. Yes - alas it is true. My reason for living has been severly dented, as my favourite beverage cannot be ordered here (bar Allan Scott Savingon Blanc). We took a night train from Youngshou at 8pm on the 5th of April. We arrived in Guangzhou to wait for the Hydrofoil all day in a hotel room - Catching the boat we arrived in Hong Kong about 7.30. Explored the Temple Street night markets. In the Morning caught the star fairy across to hong kong island, took the tram peak to the top of the island. Got a plane from Xian and flew to Guilin, before being transferred by bus to Youngshou. We met up with another Gecko's tour, who had seen a little more of the north of the country and Shanghai. Were in Younshou from 3 April, until the 5th. As you can see Youngshou is beautiful and rural. Exactly as you would imagine China to be. The rock formations were fantastic. If I were to return to China I would definetly go here again. Popular to tourists for its rock climbing. [View Full Entry]

On 1st April we travelled by night train to Xian - a fun time. Arrived in Xian to see all the sights, may favourite being the White Goose Pagola, which is the founding centre of budhism to China.
