So, three entries in a month and some days isn't too bad..right? I do apologize to everyone trying to keep track of me via this blog because there's a good chance you think I fell off the face of the earth. So, my first month here has been pretty crazy and so much fun! I'm falling in love with this place and the people here more than I was expecting to. So, I'm trying to think of what's happened since my last update.... I joined a soccer team called Mgarr United. They're all so nice to me and appear to be fine with explaining every single drill to me in English directly after the coach explains it in Maltese. They're teaching me a bit of Maltese, but I don't think I'm picking up on it too ... read more

Okay, I'm probably never going to do this..poor decision on my part telling everyone back home that I would. But I'll try..also, if you want to just know when I update I'm pretty sure you just subscribe to my blog and it tells you via email when I update. Anyways, I've basically been wondering around this island aimlessly and trying to get people to not hate me. It's working out pretty well. Everyone is really nice and I think there's definitely a few people here I'll get along really well with (sigh of relief..) Last Thursday was a national holiday in Malta, St. Paul's Shipwreck, and so a bunch of us got a bus to Valletta, the capital, for the festival. Okay, so this blog thing is a bit more confusing than I thought. Bare with me. So, on Thursday I walked through security around 2 p.m., waved goodbye to my parents and turned and looked.....and there wasn't anything there? So I broke the first, and almost only, rule that my parents gave me and I asked a stranger where I should go. haha. He was very helpful and turns out i needed to take this little shuttle thing to where the gates were. I waited around for awhile then finally boarded and flew to Boston. It was pretty amazing flying into Boston because the lights were on in the city, but the sun was still setting so the sky was red and the sunset looked like it was eye level.
