Hello all, So since I last wrote, Tamara and I left Phi Phi Island and headed to Krabi on the mainland. We went with a friend of ours called Lee. Krabi town isn't the most exciting place in the world so we only stayed a coupe of days... In order to make it a little more interesting, we decided to rent a Jeep and check out the countryside around Krabi.... It was all exquisitely lush and green. We spent the day just driving without purpose and ended up seeing some things that one doesn’t see simply by sightseeing... We left Lee, Krabi and Thailand to head to Malaysia. We took three busses to get to Georgetown Penang. We decided to spend the night here as we didn’t want to take yet another bus without a ... read more

Hello all, I know its been a while but I wanted to have plenty of material in order to write a (somewhat) interesting entry. So after we left Etta we arrived in Phuket... We got into a Taxi at Phuket airport and headed for a hotel in Phuket town which was recomended by our guide book. We got a pretty awful room and put our bags down. We decided to go for a walk and came across this very cute cafe. We decided to go in for a drink. The owner was this very sweet, funny and bubbly Thai lady who had grown up all over the world... Needless to say we all got along famously... She invited Tamara and I to join her and her friends for dinner that night. We had a very ... read more

Hi all, So I've decide to tell all about Vietnam in one blog entry. I can't be bothered to write each entry individually. So here it is: On arrival In Saigon we went straight to our hotel which was right on the Mekong river. It had 26 floors, with the swimming pool on the roof. Tamara and I went to check out the view from the roof top which was trully amazing. The view stretched all along the river and the entire city. Soon after we went to bed as we were quite tired. We did not do a whole lot in Saigon as we only had a day there. There was however a rather scary moment where I lost my bankcard! Thankfully I had forgotten it in the ATM and I was able to ... read more

Hi all, I'm going to make this a short one for the simple reason that we are moving so much at the moment that I will never have time to get everything down. So After Luang Prabang we took a flight (Etta booked us business class which was a drastic change from government buses in India) to Siem Reap. I had already been to Siem Reap before but was excited to see all the temples again as last time we were here it was only for a day which was far to short. We arrived at our hotel which was the same one I had stayed at with my family. It is such a beautiful hotel consisting of luxury huts arranged around reflecting ponds and gardens... Truly magnificent. So I’m going to keep the bit ... read more

Hello all, So... We arrived in Laos late at night and headed to our hotel... It was so nice to be back in Luang Prabang which had been one of my favorite towns when we had done our trip around this area with my family a few years ago. The hotel was truly beautiful set in lush, manicured gardens... We ate Laos food at the restaurant of our hotel which was delicious... After dinner Tamara and I took a walk into the center of the town and I showed her where the night market (which had already closed) was. We walked back to the hotel and got an early night as we had to be up the early in the morning. Because the hotel did not have any room for us the 2ndnight of our time ... read more

Hello all, So lots to tell.... As you read in my last entry, Tamara and I left India to head to Bangkok. We arrived in Bangkok on the 1st of March very early in the morning and headed to our Hotel... Our first impressions of Bangkok were (believe it or not) How clean and orderly it was.... This was of course a reaction to having spent 2 months in India which is not very clean or orderly. We arrived at our Hotel which was very nice and had air conditioning which at the time seemed like a real blessing... Our Hotel was situated in a very touristy area with lots of road side bars and cafes and tons of tailors trying to get you into there shops... After a quick nap in the room Tamara and ... read more

Hi all, It's been a while.... Since I last wrote Tamara and I left Kochi and Gulliver to go to Varanasi... We were very sad to leave Gulliver after having traveled with him for 1 month... We all became very close spending every minute of every day all together will do that... We are not as sad as we could be however as we know that we'll all get to hang out in London and Bristol (where he lives) when we get back to the real world... So we left on The 19th of February and caught a (delayed) plane to Mumbai where we had a connecting flight the next morning... We arrived in Mumbai in the early evening and were only leaving the following morning quite early... Because of this we felt that it wasn't ... read more

Hi guys, So not that much has happened since my last entry but I thought I woud keep you all (whoever is actually reading it) updated... So after Bangalore, we got another Government bus to Kochi because there were no other buses once again... On arrival we were taken by an autorickshaw to a really sweet family run hotel where we got a lovely room and slept all day.... When we awoke we decide to go into the town and check out this cafe that was recomended by the Gudebook and rumoured to have good cofee. It turned out to be an Art cafe displaying art of young India artists. It also did have great cofees, fresh cakes (including Chocolate!) and really good sandwiches. I was so happy to be in that environment as were the ... read more

Hi guys, So I haven't written in a while... sorry about that but the internat connection has been so teriible since I last wrote. Anyways so I hope I can remeber everything we've done since the last time I wrote. In the end we really fell in love with Gokarna and Kuddle beach where we were staying. We met a really great group of people who we spent our days and nights eating and chatting with. The huts where we were staying were extremely simple with nothing but a bed but after we took two rooms, I slept suprisingly well. The food at the hotel was amazing... we ate really well and for next to nothing. The day before we left thegroup who we were hanging out with left the beach to head to explore another ... read more

Hi Guys.. So tam and I took the slightly (by an hour) delayed train from the train station in Goa to Gokarna. The Train station in Goa looked more like a house and when the autorickshaw driver droped us off we though that we were in the wrong place. We took the very packed train sitting on benches with the other passengers. It was a really beautiful train ride. The landscapes in the south are so green and lush. I read most of the way while tamara enjoyed the view. On arrival in Gokarna we realised that the distance to the beach where we wanted to stay was quite long and that the bus was arleady full. We jumped into a autorickshaw which took us down the bumpy roads. We stoped at some point and realised ... read more
