Feeling like we know the place inside out, we hop on the train to get to Central Market. This is held mostly indoors in air conditionig - the best way do markets! Case in point - the fisherman's pants we picked up at the market! They did serve a purpose though - long pants to wear at the temples - however we doubt they'll come out of the closet for quite some time! The trip itself was only spurred on by a fantastic AirAsia promotion so we booked flights from Gold Coast to KL, then KL to Bangkok, then on to Ho Chi Minh City before returning to KL for the last leg home back to Gold Coast. With fares under $30 for the Bangkok and HCMC flights, I was eager to see as many places as possible. Those well-travellled would probably suggest otherwise and as I write this anticipating the days ahead, I am inclined to think one country for two weeks might be more appropriate. Note to self for future travel! I was a little hesitant about the quality ... read more
