Hello from Vienna! Well it took 2 sunrises and 2 sunsets but I finally got here (I am not kidding!). Vienna is lovely. Very picturesque which makes it easy to take photos! It is wonderful to stroll around for hours. The city is well laid out so you can access the sites easily on foot. If you feel hungry there are lots and lots of cafes to stop in. Among them is a cafe called 'Demel' (ask TQ) where I enjoyed THE most delicious apfelstrudel...oh I wish that apfelstrudel was a day long. Aside from that there are lots of old buildings and monuments...you know...cuz of all the history I guess รถ...;) . ...At Angel stadium! Quick trip turned into 2 days of travel. Flew to Toronto THEN Santa Ana airport (which is John Wayne airport but displayed as 'Orange County'...my ticket said 'Santa Ana' but the gate said 'Orange County') then on the way back Santa Ana to Denver...oh well...ended up with over 6000 miles instead of the usual 800! Flying in toward LA I always look at the housing developments below. They remind me of doodles I use to do and then I can't help but think 'You moved the headstones but you didn't move the bodies' insert creeps here! Hotel turned out to be a Motel drive-up two story deal like where you would stay in as a kid when you weren't at the campsite. In the end I actually adored the place. Had a great ... read more

Halal in KL! Had a fab time though it went quick I was able to see and do lots. Back to the usual haunts in Singy and added a new place to the list with KL. Though different...both are very welcoming cosmopolitan cities displaying a wonderful blend of cultures. Shopping, sights and food are great...so great I opted out of the F1 to do more! Petrona Towers were pretty cool. An icon in the city which you can see from most anywhere. Also visited the palace, national mosque, independence square, KL tower (omg...gibbons!) and so on. I stayed in the 'Golden Triangle' which is definitely the most happening part of town and the place to be. I got 10 days...that's my plan anyway. But as long as I get some kaya toast I'll be good. It's 00:00 and I am enjoying the lounge in the international side of YVR despite the 11:15pm closure (I knew they wouldn't kick us out;). So before I know it we'll be ready to board (yay). This is an ok lounge. I actually prefer the US Maple Leaf better. They have moved things around but I was still able to find the fridge no prob. Am disappointed they only have 'Molson' on tap now! Use to be lovely microbrew selection. For that I think I'll have to down grade my previous rating from 9 to 8! I am hoping it is only Olympic fallout and they will be back on the micro track in no time! Oh...I ... read more

L.A.'s fine, the sun shines most of the time and the feeling is laid back. Came for the weekend to see the much anticipated Pee Wee Herman show...it did not disappoint! Rumours are they are going to make this into another movie...can't wait! Favourite moments? Oh...so many...um...definately 'let's go play with the deep fat fryer'...gold! Lot's more to say...no time to say it so later. Oh...new lounge...must review. Is a Maple Leaf lounge so already know it is more awesome then most. Delic food, good view of the airport goings on. Complaints? No inside toilet (ewwww) and only Chardonnay in the fridge (yuck!). 7.5 out of 10 (YVR at US departures is still the best ;) Check out that heavy!!!... read more

Aloha from Hawaii and Mele Kalikimaka! Today is Christmas and here on Christmas Island it is warm, sunny and beautiful. Here are a few photos for now...more to come. Aloha! Boxing Day...had an early morning swim and back for breaky (forgot my sunscreen too...oops). I think I will go to the beach by Duke for the rest of the morning and will periodically wave aloha. Hope to see you! Later that day...Spent hours at the beach and am covered in salt water and sand (and still St. John). Ahhhh so good. I think I'll do this and only this for the rest of the week.
