Hello there and welcome to our travel blog!!

We are heading off on an incredible adventure on the other side of the world to get tans, go on elephant rides, pet a tiger and see some kangaroos...

Our itinerary is as follows:

Monday 14th March - fly from Heathrow to Bangkok (with a stop over in Bombay/Mumbai - since 1995 apparently)
Tuesday 15th March - arrive in Bangkok
Thursday 17th March - leave Bangkok for Cambodia

Cambodia --> Laos --> North Thailand --> South Thailand (islands)

We are then leaving Thailand on 29th April and flying to Australia. We are heading up the coast from Melbourne to Cairns, hopefully having time to go to the Great Barrier Reef, before flying from Cairns to Melbourne to catch out flight back to Bangkok.

We will then be in Bangkok for a few days before heading back to Heathrow on 14th June!! Terminal 4 at 5.55pm if anyone wants to come meet and greet us - a scene reminiscent of Love Actually would be lovely 😊

Much Love

From Bangkok we got a sleeper train to Chiang Mai, which we were pretty excited about as we had been told that we would meet a lot of other travellers, however due to our bad luck we met none! There were a few European looking people but they consisted of fat old men - not exactly what we were hoping for. After 14 hours on the train (which was actually pretty comfortable but we didn't get much sleep) we arrived in Chiang Mai and went straight to a hostel recommended to us by Tanya and Dom and then pretty much passed out. The weather in Chiang Mai was absolutely boiling so we decided to have a chilled day and relax by the pool and try and get a tan (which we have still failed at). Because ... read more

Hey all! So last time we left you we said we were heading from Phnom Penn to Viang Veng in Laos to go tubing... however instead we decided to head down south to the gorgeous, pristine beaches of Sihanoukville!! We decided this change because it would have taken us 27hrs to get to Viang Veng where we were only planning on staying a couple of nights, and about US$50 each... and then more of that long trip and money spent on the other side to get to Chiang Mai - we didn't really see much point in this when we could go to the beach and get a tan in 5 hours for US$6 each... We had made two new friends in Phnom Penh who also happened to be doing this trip, Dom from Eastbourne and ... read more

Helloo!! We have now been in South East Asia for a week - it has flown by so quickly!!! We traveled from Bangkok to Siem Reap in Cambodia - one of the longest journeys ever! We got a taxi to the station, a train, another taxi then we had to get one bus for 5 hours to the border village, then got ripped off buying our visa as the tuk tuk from the bus took us to to the 'visa office'.. all was ok as we did get real visas and they organised a taxi to take us to Siem Reap - 2 hours - and there was a free guide & tuk tuk waiting to take us to a hostel in the centre. Finally! The hostel they took us to was pretty good, we had ... read more

Hey guys!!!! So after two plane journeys (which were INCREDIBLE) - free food, free drinks, amaaaazing entertainment system with films and games! and to top it all we all got a FREE FEAST ICECREAM!!! Nom.. Our hotel is really nice, when we arrived it was 8am and we completel crashed and slept from 10am til 4pm - OOPS!!! However when we woke up a massive market had appeared on the doorstep of our hotel! We went for a ponder and realised we could buy delicacies such as chicken feet, boiled eggs on sticks and the classic green goo soup - YUMMY! Our plan for tomorrow is to head into the city centre of Bangkok and look for the best way to get to Cambodia and figure out if we want to go and be cultural first ... read more
