The tour arround angkor wat they will arrange for you,its optional to hire a guide but i would recommend it.Our guide was richard. Your description although vivid, seems like I was reading a paperback novel, hehehe. I hope you can include the pics next time. This got me so excited as I will be going to Ankor on August. And I also checked out the Kool hotel as mentioned in your blog. Did you use the tour service of the hotel or you just hire your own tuktuk ad for how much? And your transfer from Siem Reap to the hotel, was it from some random tuktuk driver or was it arranged by the hotel? and how much was it?

Looks like your having a wicked time, I'm sooo jealous. It brings back distant memories of when I went, I went on an elephant but didn't see waterfalls or any tigers, gutted! I am definately going back!
If you haven't already been to Bangkok make sure you go to Khaosan Rd the backpackers capital! And the all night market, I can't remember what it's called but it's the one with all the ping pong ladies and snides galore lol!!
Anyway it was hust a quick one to say how jealous I am and of course to wish you a merry xmas and all the best for 2010!!
