BERLIN We were Berlin in the first week of September and had a lot time to see Berlin. We came thru Belgium and Hamburg on euroline bus. Berlin, capital of Germany and the largest city in Germany, a city had gone through more turmoil and pain in the last century any other city except for hiroshima. But the city seems to have forgiven and forgotten all that and seems to have embraced future. This city parties more any other city but I wasn’t much of a party animal. hWHOLE OF PARIS AND ONLY LESS THAN 11 HOURS DIFFICULT CHALLENGE.???? STARTED EARLY HEADED STRAIGHT FOR THE METRO 1,Place St-MichelMetro: Métro or RER: St-Michel This square was named for Gabriel Davioud's grandiose 1860 fountain sculpture of St. Michael slaying the dragon.. Today the fountain is a meeting spot for people attracted by the areas book shops, repertory cinemas, bars, and cafés. We had a coffee and headed to next stop . 2, Cathédrale de Notre-Dame The supreme masterpiece of Gothic art, Notre-Dame cathedral still evokes Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. We stood in awe at the the detailed work on the doorways . We didn’t attempt to walk up the stairway for want of energy we needed for the rest of the day. Todaty we kick off our europe, a trip which we never ever thought we would take, since we feared that one european tour would push us into bankrupcy. However we got down from the plane with lot of enthuciasm Paris was comfortably cold with some drizzle…our initial idea was to see as much as possible the night itself. Since we to leave paris at the same time next day evening. However all the people from the plane were asked to stay at the near the plane bay because of an unaccompanied baggage We stood there in that part of the terminal building for 1 hour.
