What? a 170 pounds
Ha! As you well know 50S pounds is $1.20 or less than 70Uk Pennies. Imagine my first reaction when our Mini Bus Taxi driver asked for 10S Pounds per person for our 17 Pax. Whaaat? 170 pounds just to go 3 miles - you have to be joking. Cjeck out the Oasis Web site www.oasisoverland.co.uk - this is teh company teh Seana nd Kate used and again Sean and Iused for our Mid East truck tour.

How much??
I wish I'd have found that Falafel shop when I was In Aleppo I had to pay the full amount of 50S it was daylight robbery. Looking at the news it appears that you didn't start any wars - the famous Tasker diplomacy:-) - so that was we could have hoped for:-)

Not Snubbed - just a delayed entry
You must not feel like that Paul. I am considering doing a 1000 word expose/essay on yours and Jill's hospitality. Mentioning your exceptional driving skills and caustic wit, Jill's fantastic cooking and lavish attention to our compfort as well as mentioning how cute Lisa looks in her Netball clothes. However I just dont know where to start. Should I include your email address so that others may contact you for guest services? By the way.It wasn't 3 lines when I typed it- it was 1 line - the blog software must have reformatted it - LOL. Thasnks again for a great stay.

Petra
It sounds a bit over developed now, I went there in 1964 and it was still fairly free, slept in a cave.

Thanks Paul. yes you should have paid attention to your history lessons, and probably your maths, science, english and geography lessons as well. Were there attractive girls in your class that distracted you or some other problem? Sean diplomatically asked me to give the"Reader's Digest" version of Laurence of Arabia while we were sitting outside his (supposedly) house ruin in Wadi Rum. I got a round of applause for that. Of course I could have (did?) made up some stuff and no one would have been the wiser. See you in 2 weeks. 14th November. I have your Single malt :-)

The 75LE included 50LE admission to the temple which obviously did not leave much to distribute to our guide and driver. The Guide and Driver got a commission on the 50LE each , so they would have done alright. Richards farm Burlington, is being auctioned on the 19th, November.

Sailing!
I am rather jealous that you went sailing - and I am jealous that you are enjoying the sunshine while I am shivering in the wind, freezing cold and rain. Much love. See you in Venice.
