Got the ferry to Koh Tao straight from Koh Phangan with Dan and Deb. Spent the whole 3 hour trip out on the front of the boat getting burnt to f*ck by the sun. Once in Koh Tao it took us quite a while to find a decent place to stay but we eventually settled on a 3 bedroom bungalow..it's definately the nicest place we've stayed so far, marble floors, decent bathroom, 2 fans (still no air con like, its about an extra 1000BHT just to get that on the island). After an absolutely amazing bus and ferry ride to Koh Phangan (detect the sarcasm), me and Graeme checked into a beach village not far from the pier in Thongsalla. The beach huts were pretty basic and the beach wasn't exactly something you would picture after watching the film ''The Beach'', but we were absolutely knackered and decided we couldn't be arsed to venture any further at the time. Where to start? Got to Heathrow airport only to find out we had been UPGRADED to the executive suite thanks to Graeme's sister. Spent 7 hours in there eating food and drinking beer for about 7 hours FOR FREE! Also found out that we had been upgraded on the plane to the more expensive seats towards the front of the plane (not exactly first class but there was more legroom, your own t.v. etc etc).
