We live on Saltspring Island in British Columbia,Canada . We are usually here from October/November until the end of May. In the summer we can be found at West Hawk Lake near Lake of the Woods in Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park which is 45 km west of Kenora, West Hawk Lake is a crater lake formed by a meteorite crash and is over 500 feet deep. We try to do active holidays that require training in advance of the trip. Staying moderately fit seems to be easier if you are preparing for a specific objective such as hiking the West Coast Trail etc. We are not beach/resort people. The ... full info
