Nice to read the blog Hi,I am from India.I have also visited this place a few years back and trust me you have done a great job.How ever did you guys manage to see the "Light And Sound" show that is offered during the evening time everyday.Trust me it would have set the tone for the next days visit of the temples and am glad that you rightly pointed out that there is much more to Khajuraho temples than just porn. The architecture and the precision is breath taking and every temple has a nice history to it.Also the carvings on the walls of temple are easily one of the best in the world and India another close competition being "ajanta elora" if you wanna visit that. And if you ever again revisit Khajuraho tell them to visit "Ken Gharial " a picturesque place with 2-3 types of rocks and lakes.Worth a visit. If you want I can attach a picture and send it to you if you want.
Thanks again and nice read.
P.S.:- Even we all are scared of the stray dogs here, you did the good thing..!! ;)

amazed I can't believe that in ancient times people used to be pervert. These would mean that Sex is really part of our daily lives even before where FHM, Cosmopolitan and Playboy Magazines were not yet introduced.
nice brief I like the snapshot, though very brief, on public life in pulbic spaces of Kathmandu from a westners eye.
I am researching public spaces of Kathamndu as an academic exercise.

Laughing our heads off Hey you two,
Could'nt help but chuckle at your Viet Nam street crossing adventure. We had exactly the same experence in May/June while in Saigon and Hanoi.
We also found Halong Bay interesting but would rather see Barkley Sound again.
The Canadian San Juans have been our cruising destination for many years. Do you ever go to Chemanis (sp) ? We enjoy that destination as well.
Stay safe, Jim & Ann in Leavenworth, Wa.
BKK and on to the North Hey you guy's,
You are in for a treat in Laos. In Luang Probang, go to the Elephant restraunt. There is one on the main street and another called the Two or Three Elephants on a side street. GREAT LAO FOOD. WWe were there in June and we loved Laos. Be sure to hit the night market in town also.
We stayed at a place called the Grand Hotel, about 5 miles out of town and a cheep kip tuk tuk ride. See our travel blog re Laos and enjoy your time there. Are you going there by slow boat? recomended !!! Have a great time. Jim and Ann from Mukilteo, s. of Victoria. mytb.org/underway
Where is Chris? Goodness gracious Becky! What happened to Chris? What are you doing travelling with Burt Reynolds? I nearly fell off of my chair laughing when I saw this picture. It is a good thing Chris has other redeeming qualities. I am really enjoying your travels. Hugs, L
Camel Trip Hi - we have been enjoying your blogs for some time now and being that we are from Everett, Wash. we feel a certain kinship to our Victoria neighbors. (Victoria is one of our favorite haunts). We really enjoyed your camel trip and was glad we weren't there. Always nice to enjoy things through other peoples eyes. We are presently in Thailand and have been out for two months now. Check out our travel blog if you get a chance. Enjoy.
Jim and Ann
WOW! The Holi shower picture is certainly one for the ages (or at least your Facebook profile).
Also, Becky, after watching many movies with Chris, I can say with certainty where the farting and snoring was coming from.
Sounds like you're still having a good time.
How much longer are you gone for?
Matt
We did it! We're packing it in and leaving our lives in Victoria ... at least for a little while.
We'll be gone for about six months and we plan to visit India, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia. Although we've got our trusty guidebooks in hand, we don't intend to stick to any timelines or itineraries. We're going to go where the wind takes us ... okay, more likely where a third class train ticket takes us.
We've decided to create this journal so that our friends and family can check in to read about our adventures and more importantly, so that Becky's mom ca... full info
