Sooo, you live and nearly breathe Hi Chaz,
Well Jasper's asleep in his room with the fan blowing, cicadas are creating the summer atmospherealong with a few flies, infernal cabbage moths depositing their offspring on our broccoli and the shreiks of 28's as they sup on our unripe nectarines. Yes summer is here at last, just in time for the school year. I think by term start there was about 1 day suitable for swimming. Still it's the weekend and there's a chance now. Paddling was great and overcast weather wasn't a major disadvantage as I didn't burn to bits or boil. After 10 weeks we're both on leave without pay giving us a chance to travel and also rediscover out=r creative selves. The finances thingy isn't so good for travel so we'll be away a far shorter time than previously anticipated and will probably stall our departure. Tell you when we know more.
Well Lots of love for now Call or arrange a time for me to call you sooon, Dad ,B and jasper .
!! !!!!!!!!!! You ARE a real musician! Don't you seeee? You don't have to know your scales and read music to be a "real" musician! Ok, knowing your scales can be handy for improvisation, but I warn you right now, there are some things reading may come in handy for but you don't NEED it! YOU by far don't need it. You're a "real" muso already, dude! And a bloody good one at that!
... Sorry about the choc-coated-coffee beans not arriving yet! There has been a little accident... I took them over the nullarbor and they melted! And I won't be able to get any more for quite a while, so for now I'm sending you something else which is just as food-orgasmic. And, forgive me for not remembering, but have I burned a Chipolatas CD for you yet?... *hughughug* struthieee
you bastard well chaz i just spent about 2 hours goin through your blog from start to finish. some of it i remember, and for the bits after we parted all i can say is you lucky bastard. looks like your havin the time of your life while i slave over the books! rock on buddy and link me up if you make it down oxford way again. love benny.
Well done The commune is the heart of the Alpujarras, the south side of Sierra Nevada. So you finally were there. But to see the most beautiful part you must get a little further than Orgiva. Well done, anyway.

Cool Tipis There's a tipi at Woodford like that, but much smaller and cosier, the "chillout tipi" as it's known. It would probably comfortably five or six people before things started to get cramped. I actually kissed somebody in there... nostalgia hehe.
well you look like your ready to give up all this siesta time and go freeze yer ass off again in england. better take some oxygen with you as the oil explosion has munted yhe atmosphere up there. good health to ya asta la vista baby xxxxx
You're a very beardy 12 year old, laddie.
Where is Lila??? When are you reuniting with her???? Dad wants to know how she's doing. We're gonna start on the cuatro soon! Thinking of naming it Charlie... if it's ok with dad, I'm not sure if it's gonna be his or mine yet!
CAVES!!!! That is the coooolest thing ever... I wanna live in a cave, surrounded by gypsies! They should have these things EVERYWHERE for the travellers that are too broke to actually pay for any accom! And hey, would you have to pay hideous Margaret River rates on a CAVE? I don't think so... :) You should turn into a gypsy, Chaz, then you could find out the best ways to do ANYTHING on the cheap!... and learn to play Django ukulele!
ohr you guys hello beautiful ones... looks like your having a blast. Well you are being a bit posh in the lounge though. you are making my skin goose bumps and my heart tingle. i love you guys.xxx
You've just had me in bloody stitches too..Yeah laughing out loud all by myself!!! Hope your stitches r all good and u keep a calm attitude in future when unsheathing that little pocket beast!!I'm referring to 'The knife'....of course. xoxo L
Welcome Welcome to Granada. You arrived just in time to enjoy the brand new Christmas street lightning.
I guess you probably have a return ticket to Scotland from Barcelona. In case you haven´t, consider the possibility of flying back to UK from Granada. Ryanair flies to London and Liverpool. Flying on December the 13th you can find a one way ticket for 14,00 Euros (taxes included). Much less than the bus back to BCN.
While here some recomendations:
- Dont miss Hanigan&Sons (better after 12:00 p.m.)
- If you like snow or skiing try a day at Sierra Nevada (skiing under the sun)or just a trip to the Alpujarras area
- You'll find the caves at the Sacromonte quarter. Try the disco "Camborio" for something different after 1:00 a.m.
- The best tourist and non-tourist flamenco can be found in the Sacromonte. Try a walk there in daylight and nighttime, different worlds. Ask at the tourist office for the activities of the 'Centro de Interpretación del Sacromonte'- non expensive highest quality flamenco. A bit more expensive try the 'Los Farruco' family flamenco show in town these days. Or any of the Teatro Isabel shows this week. Better dancing than singing.
- Most tourists miss the Campo del Principe Square, or the riverside. Dont.
Happy stay
gaudi i hope when u get back to barthelona you don't slash your ass open sitting on the shard covered bench at parc guell. love from one who remembers u when you had no scars yer mum
I screamed with laughter from about halfway through this entry onwards!!!!!! (Rowie was yelling from the other room "What is it, Ruthie?") You are a crazy man, Charles Adrian!!!!! Just think what would happen if you bumped your head hard enough and got amnesia! No, wait, maybe it would be better NOT to think about that... hehhhheh. I got you a present for yer birfday (and there'll be a Chrissy one soon as well) tell me where I should send them!
