Months before hearts day, I was excited - not because I found the day itself worth celebrating, but because I'll set foot on one of my dream destination in the country: BATANES. Leaves? Approved! Savings? Enough! Tickets? Ready! Companions? Game!. Excitement? Overwhelming! Days rolled by, but the unwanted occurred. ZEST AIR CANCELLED ALL THEIR FLIGHTS TO BASCO. No more trip to Batanes! Looking at the bright side, it was just strike 1 for me, not like some friends of mine... Peace friends. Batanes is not yet for me. Maybe next Valentines? We'll see. Suddenly I'll be staying home on a supposed to be adventure weekend. That can't be! I scanned for the parallel tours which I can transfer to. Calaguas is too soon. Donsol. unfamiliar. Apo Reef & Pandan Island. hmm. 2 hits in 1! Seems ... read more

Emo Months after a heavy bump in my life, all I still want is to be alone. It was totally hurting but I’m not bitter anymore, I’m happy and lucky that things have happened. A long time has passed but still I’m thinking I am so much capable of hurting people close to me, that no one could ever understand me, and that I am not good for anyone. From then I do things on my own, discover things myself, watch movies and go malling alone. Alone. Alone. Alone. For a while I thought I will be secluded in my own hermit kingdom. And I’m totally fine with it. Travel That time I discovered something that I want to do - to travel. Not to meet new friends (I’m actually a snob) but to explore new ... read more

When I was told that I would be sent to UK for training, one of the things that excited me the most was visiting LIVERPOOL! The birthplace of the greatest band in the land! As early as getting my visa, I can imagine the Abbey Road scenario with my brothers and my father. For sure i would be envied upon (ahem Rykiel, Nance). True enough, when they learned that I will be sent onshore, it's never-ending "LIVERPOOL! ABBEY ROAD! BEATLES!" that can be heard from them. When I was there, i was quite sad that Liverpool wasnt really one of the places that we would visit. Either my collegues has been there (they were sent onshore before) or they are not as fanatic as I am. Months went by, still no Liverpool in the plans. :( ... read more

Making most of our time together, we went to a nearby town they most often. Telford is a large and progressive town in Shropshire, near Shrewbury. We went around the Telford Town Park, a large green open space where people stroll, children play and enjoy the beauty of nature. It was near winter that time so the flora and fauna, which it is also famous for, is not showing its beauty. However, we still enjoyed our family time together. Some of the park's main feature is a Giant Spider's web climbing frame, a huge rocket slide, an adventure area and picnic areas. There are also landscaped gardens, pools, woodlands and a nearby Nature Reserve. We don't have much time to see everything, so we went to the nearby Telford shopping Centre, one of the largest in ... read more

Twas' a few days before Christmas and also the end of our business (and pleasure) trip to the UK. My collegues are all ready and excited to go home to the Philippines , while I'll be staying in UK longer to celebrate the Holidays with my family. It was my 2nd time at Trafford Center, a large indoor shopping center - first was when we were waiting for a friend while she was watching a football game at the nearby Old Trafford (only she had the ticket). Our host was generous to tour us around the mall and treat us for some goods. It is one of the most beautiful mall here in Manchester, which is actually made up of 4 main areas - Peel Avenue, Regent Crescent, The Dome and the Orient. Most of the ... read more

Chesire Oaks is a large outlet village, with almost 140 stores offering designer labels at discount prices, permanently reduced at 60% everyday. Wait...Sales? discounts? 2 for 1's? Thats more than enough reason to include this in our itinerary. A castle-less day for us, we're going shopping! We prepared for this - yes, we prepared. I have no plans of spending this day as much as my collegues - who were ready to spend every single centavo thay have earned. That was a gloomy and dark Saturday, roads were slippery but there's really no stopping us (i think there were 10 of us). We arrived before lunch and at once dispersed after we had our group lunch, agreeing to hours meet later. The outlet didn't fail us, it is definitely the shopaholic's haven. CK at 70% off, ... read more
