Lusaka, Zambia and Tbilisi, Georgia I: Plan C

Not the most obvious pairing of countries to visit on one trip. But having promised to take the children of WONS Orphanage to see Zambia play in their new national stadium, I saw that Zambia vs. Algeria not only didn't clash with and Irish match, but it could make for a grand trip to attend Georgia vs. Ireland the following weekend. At least that was the plan...

As you know, I have always said that football is an excuse to travel, not the other way round. This is certainly true in the past dozen or so years that I have been actively following the Republic of Ireland national football team in various international competitions.
