thanks for the insight Hey ac,
I'm sending my 31 year old daughter down to check out the Rancho Santana for potential purchase of a casita, condo or land to build a little ranch on. It sounds like it might be pretty strange...prison in paradise, or what? It sure looks nice in photos...beautiful beaches. I don't want to send my daughter into a Hell zone. Any advice? clam
Welcome home! So glad to hear of your wonderful trip! We are living vicariously thru you! Love seeing your pictures and can't wait to see more! We are happy you are home safe and sound with lots of stories to tell us. Love you!!

Rancho Santana, I Bought a House I know you guys stayed in a Casita at Rancho Santana. I just wanted to say that I visited and bought one of the Casitas. It's the one closest to the beach, look like the one in your photo. See http://www.nicaraguasurfingrental.com/
Can't wait to go back.
Love this! Your pics are amazing, as well as your blog. And, I am SO proud of you just taking it as it comes! You've had quite an adventure, kiddo! Love you!
Ahhh, jeez Hi sweetie...I'm so far behind that you're going to be back before I finish! But, I am loving your blogs! My heart goes out to you kiddo...it is SO finding your way around and then driving on the wrong side of the street totally turns your brain into mush. I get it! I'm a softy, so I actually got tears in my eyes thinking of you trying to get through all that...I would've been a mess! You did GOOD!!!!! Love you and can't wait to hear all the stories first hand :)
Great Blog Mate! Great blog man! I really enjoyed it and now I am going to read your other ones. I love that you even mentioned Alexea but I didnt even get a shout out?!? I see how it is friend... I see how it is... ;)

Looks like fun! Sounds like you guys are having a great time. Your pics are beautiful. Sure makes me want to visit Australia! Please find a koala bear for me, ok? A real one. :) Love you!
$$$ Money was securely deposited into your account. Sounds like you're having a blast! Keep up the blogging, they're really exciting to read and the pictures are classic! See ya mate.
Rancho Santana Rocks I really like Rancho Santana. I have to check out the swimming hole on the island on my next trip to Nica. ojo de agua. Sounds like paradise.!!
car sick but worth it! Was at RS two years ago and bought property. Hated the 3 hour car ride. There has to be a better way to get there. Another friend of mine just went in November and he told me it took them four hours of travel time. Lots of water...and bumps! LOL
I'm hoping by the time we start building that the last 45 minutes of bumps and raging rivers (exaggerated a bit) running across will be improved.
To anyone reading this and looking for a great place for a second home...this place is well worth the look! Ask for Gloria..she is awesome!
I hear there is good surfing as well..but being afraid of JAWS (yes, I admit it...the movie flipped me out) I will pass and watch the more braver souls be shark bait.
Place is really awesome ..wait till you see and hear a holler monkey...oh so cute!
u have 2 come back!! hey, hello!! I am Erika from Nicaragua and i was just checking out some information about Rancho Santana, and I found you. I visited it the last month, because of I study tourism, so we had a trip to the place...the same as you i was awesome about all you can find in there and the way it has been developed.
I am glad that you have enjoyed the time you passed in here and I hope that that time would not be the last for you spend it in here.
well, with no more words...i say good bye!!
GOOD TIMES AH, I REMEMBER THE EXPERIENCE OF COMING OUT OF THE AIRPORT AT 10:30PM AND MARIO OUR RIDE WHO HAD WAITED 4 HRS ( AS OUR PLANE WAS LATE) AND TOOK US ON THAT 3.5 HOUR RIDE TO RANCHO IN THE DARK ( AND WE THOUGHT WHAT HAVE WE GOTTEN INTO). AFTER 4 DAYS THERE AND ALL THE GREAT SCENERY AND BEER WE DECIDED TO BUY AND CANT WAIT TO GO BACK. IT CERTAINLY IS A WAKE UP CALL IF YOU NEVER BEEN TO A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY, BUT THE PEOPLE WHERE AMAZING. ITS CERTAINLY A STORY TO REMEBER

domingo i feel that people opinions have little effect on me and as soon as you master that your vacations will be much more enjoyable. people are just people, if you make them smile more power to you. the snobby people that look at life that way i don't want to meet. i'd say 90% of the people love being around me espeically locals. so relax a little on your next holiday and see how well it goes.
