I love to read, play softball, and travel. I have two more years of high school and I can't wait to go to college. I eventually want to work in the film industry!

Today is the last "real" day of vacation, since tomorrow we are going to see my great aunt and uncle then drive for two days before getting home Friday. I'm kind of sad I guess but I'm ready to get home, I miss my bed! I'm sick of all these hotel beds and showers and being in such close quarters with four other people 24/7. Not that I don't love my family, but we aren't used to this! We spent pretty much all of today at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, which you access by taking a tram ride all the way to the top of Iron Mountain. We started the day off by taking a tour through Fairy Cave, which was a lot smaller than any cave I've been to but pretty interesting. They've tried to ... read more

At this point of our trip I must really be getting tired because this morning was the first I didn't wake up when my dad and Rebecca got up to go get breakfast. Instead I woke up to a burning throat and my dad shaking me, which I hate. At 11:30 we went whitewater rafting! We went with Blue Sky in Glenwood Springs, where we're staying, in case I didn't mention that previously, and because the water was flowing so quickly we got to go on the full day trip in the half day time period, 19 miles in about 3 hours. It was fun even though the water was freezing! So cold. When we finished, we came back to the hotel to rest a bit then went to the hot springs pool they have here, ... read more

Today we didn't do much besides drive and sit around at our hotel. We drove for four or five hours, then Dad and I took the kids swimming because Mom wasn't feeling too well. Later we went to the "best Mexican food place in town." And it was pretty good. Then we went down to the Colorado River and messed around for about twenty minutes before heading back to the hotel. I went down to the excercise room at 9:05 only to find out that they locked it at 9! That was annoying. The river runs right behind our hotel, and even though the water was rough people were rafting. If they aren't booked, we're going white water rafting tomorrow as well, yay!... read more

We've all been waiting for Rebecca to do what she does best, besides act like a princess: get hurt. And today was the day. Not only did she whack her head on the wheel of an antique stagecoach, she also broke her wrist. Well, at least she thought it was broke. She told us she couldn't move her fingers or hand after Matthew pushed a shopping cart into her arm, but after I told her that, in actuality, her wrist was only broken if she could move her fingers and rotate her wrist, voilĂ ! She was moving that thing all over. Other than Rebecca drama, today was fairly uneventful compared to the rest of our quick-moving vacation. We went to Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum around 10:30 and stayed for nearly three hours. They were ... read more

Well, today really wasn't super interesting...we woke up and went to this mining place, the name escapes me, went on a little tour through an unactive and what used to be relatively unproductive mine then let Matthew and Rebecca pan for gold before heading to Wyoming. We booked our hotel room for two nights but I'm not really sure what we're going to do for the two days we're staying here, because all we have planned so far is to go to some cowboy museum. I guess we're just winging it. Tonight Matthew, Rebecca and I watched the premier of Camp Rock and aside from the bad acting it wasn't too shabby! I know, I still watch...and enjoy...Disney movies. Oh well, yay me! Ha, well since I don't have much to say about today I'll reminisce ... read more

So we're in day four of Beale family vacation, day two of Keystone, South Dakota, and day one of Caitlin's blogging extravaganza. Surprisingly enough nobody in our family has strangled anyone and Rebecca hasn't encountered any physical harm...yet. Yesterday we went to the Crazy Horse memorial thing and after spending about an hour in the huge museum none of us ever really figured out what exactly he was famous for. Anyway, a sculpture of him on his horse is being carved into a mountain, similar to Mt. Rushmore. They've been working on it for about 60 years and all that's completed is his face, so it's hard to say if I'll ever see it completed on my lifetime. Today we went to Bear Country, which is like a drive-through zoo. There were lots of different animals ... read more
