This is about a trip that took 8 weeks flying to Sydney via a one night stopover in Singapore and then moving on at intervals to Port Macquarie by car, Woombye (back of the sunshine coast) by coach, Cairns by plane, Adelaide by plane, Carrickalinga by car, Melbourne by car, Tilba Valley by car, Cooma by car and finally Sydney Airport by car for the flight back home -- 33 hours door to door. The start, a long trip out from Malpensa but a smooth arrival at Singapore and transfer to the Park Royal in Beach Road -- the same street as Raffles and quite luxurious, but a third of the price. Terminal 3 at Singapore is almost worth a holiday visit on its own ! the techno ceiling makes it so quiet. -- water and
