Greg returned home today, YAY!!! seeing as thought it was a lovely evening, we decided to actually go to the White Horse. A little history on the White Horse, it's patches of chalk in the shape of a horse which has been around for thousands of years (http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/england/oxfordshire/featured-sites/uffington-white-horse-and-dragon-hill.html) ... Louise kindly invited me to go work with her serving champagne at a function - turns out the function was a wedding! (felt more like a funeral!) Anyways, the bride and groom held the ceremony at their house (which was a 300 year old house - simply beautiful!). the guests arrived at 3ish and most of them were gone by 6pm! I would have left too - picture 75 people just standing around with nothing to sit on and occassionaly being served some mini appetizers!! Very quiet day today, after Greg left for Spain, I did some cleaning and sorting out the bathroom - there are no cabinets at all in the bathroom! so need to organize the toilettries... Not too much going on here today...still recovering from yesterday's grocery shopping experience & having to make tomato sause from store bought tomato cans!!!!! let's just say it's an aquired taste & i haven't aquired it yet!!! One of Greg's friends had a baby on sunday so we had to do walk the dogs for them. Two beautiful & playful black labradors! Barney likes to jump, me, i don't like it very much!!! Yes, we have sun here..... Try to get used to little things like the power going out and have to go buy a recharge at the store!!! I still don't like traveling by car, can't get my head around driving on the wrong side of the street - especially when there are oncoming cars!! oh well, i guess in time it's change (I hope!).
