oooh - From: Bolivia
You're on familiar ground for me now! It looks great & you sound so much more chilled out than you were going through India. South America rocks.. & you've still got so much more to enjoy, I am super jealous and would love to book myself a return trip to Chile sometime soon. All is good over here, Karen's wedding this weekend which is exciting. I'll miss having you and Dee there loads - but you'll be back soon enough for some proper catching up over a few beers. I'll drink some bubbles and have a silly wedding dance for you. I've found myself a new job so taking life pretty easy at Cheyne right now, I have a 3 month notice period - so loooooong. However I'm making use of the park's proximity whilst I can & enjoying supper picnics late into the evening with too much wine, watching lots of Wimbledon and generally enjoying the long light evenings after a very quiet & homebound 3 months when job hunting! Keep enjoying the loveliest continent, keep safe & I can't wait to see you both when you get back, Big big hugs Jessie xxxxxx

Yeah yeah South America sounds lovely and everything but was the live Tango band really anything compared to the Thai dancing show we bought off the lady on the Bangkok river boat? Hehe, glad to hear you're having such a wicked time - actually very jealous. Our month in England (for Karen & Adam's wedding) dwindled down through 3 weeks in South East Asia to maybe a couple of weels somewhere hot in Australia to wait for it....... one very wet cold week in Tasmania in July!!!!! It's very cheap and I'm sure we will make it fun. Somehow. New horse is absolutely lovely - going to be a little superstar. Just as weel as he's sending me rapidly bankrupt. Work's bloody hectic as usual. Dave's well - new job going great and he's starting another uni course in August. Not much other news - haven't spoken to any of the girls for ages. Gutted we won't be there for Karen's wedding :o( OK, looking forward to the next installment. Wish I was in South America. Lots of love Dee

Hello Neil and Nell - From: Australia Leg 2. Sydney - Cairns
Hi you two, Glad to hear you are loving the hippy life downunder NOT. I always thought staying in a static caravan was about my limit so a small van like yours must have tested you both to the limit, glad you made it through, cant wait till the next leg. The football season is nearly at the end our team QPR are still in the Championship league, next year we are hoping for more of them. Just waiting to see who finishes top of Premier league either Man U or Chelsea youve missed some good matches Andrew. Anyway glad you are both ok and making some fantastic memouries. I would not be as brave as you both are, truely. Went out Monday 28/4 with Fiona & John met in London had meal caught up on whats happening, you know. was good night, we catch up about once a month. Should let you know David and Holly are expecting a happy event, not sure if they have told you or not, I am really happy for them they have a name and will be gathering items for the new arrival soon. Hello down under - From: India Leg 2. Jaipur - Goa
Hi guy's, Hope the ausies are treating well. At least they have your crunchy nut cornflakes, and drive on the correct side of the road. I expect you will one or two barBs. Do a check for me does the water run the other way down the plug hole??? Very happy about your engagement. The weather here is dull sort of dry you need to wear a warm jacket but also wear your sunnys as well because its bright. Enjoyed your last blog, you really should put this in a book I got eye ball cramp reading them but they are so good, can almost smell the S**t. Keep them coming. Anyway as always stay safe. Love to you both. Linda & John xxx

Namaskar ! - From: India Leg 1. Varanasi - Rishikesh
Hey peeps, hope you're both well. Just finished trawling my way through your last blog. Man I need to take some speed reading classes! Only joking, i thoroughly enjoy reading them. I was quite surprised to hear about the filth ridden streets and beggers and poverty. I was even more surprised to read that you were actually describing India and not Basildon afterall. I was watching Sky News earlier and from what i can make out there is a new movement spreading across India. Apparently it all began in Shimla. Followers of the movement can be identified as partaking in an unrhythmic dance whereby the finger and thumb of both arms are sporadically swayed in the air. I assume Champ is to blame! ; - ) Anyway kids, be good and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Dave & Holly XX

I'm so glad to hear you already know the newspaper folding in half dance because that's a new requirement at Sydney airport these days - so much easier if you don't have to learn it when you get here. I'll get to work now and book some yoga classes for Andrew in Sydney too. Lastly, is there something you've forgotten to mention in your mammoth blog entry or is the wedding ring a cunning way of fending off unwanted attention from the local hunks? Hope you enjoy the next 6 weeks - I'm just worried that our little apartment is going to be too clean and boring for you! We'll re-create the aussie xmas dinner for you when you get here if you like (involves lots of prawns, ham and barbequeued stuff). Lots of love Dee xx

Thinking of you both at Xmas - From: Nepal
Hi you two, Just wanted to send you both a Xmas message. Hope you have a lovely day, not sure what you are planning to eat on the on the day over there, maybe the traditional yak balls raosted on an open fire in camel milk. Mmm. Anyway whatever you do I am sure it will hold great memories for you both. We are down to Chelmsford for dinner with the kids, then popping over to your mum & dads in the afternoon, thats if they answer the door. All I remember of last year with them was the drink food more drink and food, I thought anymore and I was going to explode and be the new deco for the new year. Anyway stay safe, Happy Xmas and a Fantasic New Year. Love Linda & John xxx

I Knew It !!!!! - From: China Leg 3 - Kunming to Tibet
Hey guys, hope you're both well. I logged on the other day and noticed that a few more blogs had appeared. I didn't have time to read them there and then so i decided to have a quick look at the photos. I came across one of Champ posing on a bike! I thought " Oh No, he's not going to ride that is he?........ah he'll be ok, he's with Kim" However, after reading through today, i see my concerns were well founded!! Along with some other general clumsiness like dropping your bag in the pond! What is it with you boy? Anyway I'm thoroughly enjoying reading your blogs although i am the worlds slowest reader so it does take a while to plough through them. It sounds like you're both having a cool time but you seem to have a preoccupation with food and posing with little chinese people! I read up on Giardia as i'd never heard of it. Wikipedia quoted the following :Symptoms of infection include (in order of frequency) diarrhea, malaise, excessive gas (often flatulence or a foul or sulphuric-tasting belch, which has been known to be so nauseating in taste that it can cause the infected person to vomit) Sounds Nice !! Anyway, on a seperate matter, Holly and My flat is completed now and we're moving in on 20th Dec so last few months been a bit stressful. Finally, look forward to hearing the next instalment and wish you both well. Dave & Holly XX

Loving your Blogs - From: China Leg 3 - Kunming to Tibet
Fantastic reading your latest blog Kim and Andrew...you sound like you are having amazing adventures, I have only just stopped laughing at the spit in the face...Priceless!!! Also I was very interested about the BO issues...who needs Leaping Tiger Gorge and Everest when there are the more important social matters of BO and spitting (reminds me of Tanya and I's chinese neighbours - upstairs in Brixton!) Safe to say baby has not yet arrived - I am loving the time off work but I am really quite impatient and wish the little one was here now! I'll email more news soon. Loving the blogs...longer the better if you ask me...and look after one another. Georgie xx PS - Kim - thankfully Liverpool are coming good whilst Tottenham continue to be very poor...sorry Andrew just keeping you updated!!!!

A little joke for xmas - From: Moscow, Trans-Siberian Railway and Lake Baikal
I rear-ended a car this morning, on the way to work ..... I tell you, I knew right then and there that it was going to be a REALLY bad day! The driver got out of the other car, and wouldn't you know it! He was a DWARF!! He looked up at me and said, "I'm NOT f*%#ing happy!" So I said, "Which f*#king one ARE you then?"

Really Enyed Your Letters - From: China Leg 3 - Kunming to Tibet
Hi Andrew and Kim, Just wanted to say hi, really enjoying reading your journey. You do make me laugh. Can see that Andrew has not changed much, although his nursing skills seem to have come on in leaps POT NOODLE yuk. I would have felt even sicker, poor Kim. Keep up the great stories. Stay safe. And remember the old Chinese saying "Foo ne fin yin pud" Keep ya rack sacks out of the puddles. Love Linda & John x

Hello!! I've got goosebumps from reading your latest entry - not sure if it's excitement or the thought of chilly showers and high altitude or a combination of all three! Everything sounds like a real adventure, your frightening bus journeys remind me of similar experiences in Bolivia - also at very high altitude where I was so cold I spent most of the 10 hours almost hugging the Bolivian guy sat next to me to keep warm! Over friendly gringa! Everything is good with me, i've met a lovely man & am well and truly over the Greek - took it's time but I got there in the end. I'm going to Dom's house in Yorkshire for Christmas which will be fun, away from town for a good 5 days which I will need - only trouble is I have to leave my beautiful little cat at home for the duration. She's very sweet - my new best friend :)) I'll write more in an email - keep going with the better accommodation Kimmy, a girl needs her comforts!! BIg hugs to you both, keep looking after eachother lots of love Jessie xxx

So very jealous - not of the toilets, the giardia, the altitude sickness, the plegm in the face, the wet backpack or the treacherous drivers as I've had my fair share of all of those, but of the fabulous scenery and experiences and of course, of those puffa jackets. Kim, the wine gums were clearly a highlight of the trip and I only hope that we can find some wine gum action for you when you get to Aus. I don't know if we can stretch to hot water and towels in Coogee though so please don't get too excited. As always, there is little news from here compared to all your great stories. One exciting thing for me is that I've bought a new horse!! She's in Victoria at the moment though and because of the equine flu, I can't get her to Sydney just yet but she will come half way to a place where agood friend of mine can start working on her and then she'll come to me around mid-late January. Very exciting. Dave's still busy applying for jobs - many which are a big leap from where he is now so he's madly trying to convince someone to give him a go. Actually I hould give George a call for some tips because he's trying to get into a similar field to hers. Blimey that Faulkner/Cushing baby's not far away now is it. Can't wait to find out what it is and see some pics. When do you get back to England? Will you be back in time for Karen and Adam's wedding? I'm about to start searching for flights now but Dave's not sure if he will come (due to finances and the fact that he's getting fed up of all his holiday's being to England - well what do you expect if you marry a pommy lass??!) Well, that's all for now - hope you manage to stay healthy for the Nepal leg of the trip. Where will you be for xmas - remeber what we had for xmas lunch in Indonesia Kim? those parent phone calls were fun weren't they!! Lots of love, keep safe Dee xxx

Hey guys, I have been following your blog religiously and it looks like you are having a great time, Yangshou looked particularly impressive. You guys practically did exactly the same things in Hong Kong and Macau as me. Did you sample any of the local markets in Kowloon, I thought they were great fun, a wee bit like a scrapheap. Anyway keep up the great work on the blog and I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in China. P.S. Andrew you seriously need to start thinking about losing weight you fat git.

Wow - the view from Huangshan looks just like the view from the top of Mount Bromo! It's so unfair to be 'rewarded' for a 3 hour climb with thick cloud - maybe Alton Towers is the way to go after all?! Also very glad to hear the age old tradition of trying to con westerners into buying a load of crap they don't want lives on. I just question what' wrong with westerners in flip flops on stage? ;o) (sorry, I've become aussified with the thong thing!) Sounds like you're still having the best time and lots of laughs along the way. As usual, not too much to report from here - work gets in the way of all the good stuff. When do you get to Aus? There's loads of good music stuff etc on this summer so if we know when you're here we'll start seeing what's on....

howdy ho ! - From: Mongolia
Hey guys, just thought i'd send you a little comment to keep you going on your way. I know it must be tough for you both to have not seen or heard from me in a while but you must be strong ; - ) I had a look through your Photos. They look amazing. Looks like you've had a mixture of weather. Looked nice and fresh for when you went horse riding. Champ, when you said the riding was "ball-crushing", do you mean your ball crushed the horse? I'm writing "post-Munich" on my day off recovering. The weekend was quality. Munich is probably the best place i've ever been. I gave my body some serious abuse and now i'm paying for it. photo's are here : http://www.poston2.plus.com/oktoberfest/ although it might take a while to access? Anyway mates, take care and i look forward to hearing your next instalment. Big Dave

Hi Kimbo and Silver Fox - From: Moscow, Trans-Siberian & Lake Baikal
Great to hear your news - I can definitely see how Vodka would be an essential ingredient on a 70 hour train journey with an electro-80's-punk soundtrack! Kim - you are just not meant to go in mausoleums - remember our attempts to see Ho Chi Minh's one?! I never really knew Andrew as 'Champ' but can easily adapt to Silver Fox. Hope you've managed to lay your hands on a razor by now and are feeling a bit more orderly! Wish I was travelling - Dave will be totally jealous of the Trans-Siberian experience too. Not much to report from here - had our Oz wedding reception last weekend which was fun, my folks were here (and Mum still is although Dad's gone home to go sailing). Work's still manic with the Equine Flu - horses starting to look better but still contagious so no real end in sight yet. Looking forward to the next installment on your blog :o) Take good care, Love Dee xxx

NEWS FLASH - From: Moscow, Trans-Siberian & Lake Baikal
I hate to tell you guys, but in the time since you left the UK the Russian techno pop scene has stormed the charts and the house version of Last Christmas is No.1 and is expected to remain until named as the Christmas No.1. I have already downloaded it from iTunes - it's so catchy.
