Best Darn 119 Days...
I ever read about, Amy. It'd be downright trite for me to say you had the penultimate Incredible Journey, did things that many of us would like to do, met some unforgettable characters, and throughout it all, kept us largely homebodies highly informed/entertained. So, I won't belabour that set of closing comments. Rather, a huge mahalo-plenty for sharing your adventures, and very best wishes as you re-adjust to life in the lower 48. Thanks for your new coordinates too...never know, you might just see some ol' kama'aina in Carlsbad one day. A hui hou, Jerry

fish gas bladder
that's fish gas bladders, which let them control their buoyancy. the fish mongers leaves them on display to show how fresh the fishes are, how the bladders are still full of air. that's how we roll in HKG! love your blog!

Breast Exam
ALL massages I got in India included a full breast rub-down, a vigorous ass rub and sometimes an inner thigh work-out. It seems to be the norm, but it's probably good to catch any extra lumps :-)

sweet!
You had me at "I got some action!" Hehe, anywayz it's great reading all your travel stories. I'm off to some random ranch in Northern California next week. Isn't it cool that one year ago you decided to go world traveling. Seems like just yesterday. Anywayz, don't forget to practice your Thai karaoke there so you can perform for us next time you're in Hawaii.

Erotica
The "erotic carvings" at Kajuraho are AMAZING! Don't hate the French dude for being obsessed - they were one of the best things we saw in India.

Good For You, Amy...
for all that you're sharing with us "back home" and in this update, for following your gut instinct and abbreviating your stay. The blog entries make one feel one is right there with you, being stared at perhaps, or hunkered down in the not-first-class rail coach, or curiously checking out very unfamiliar phenomena. Pictures are totally awesome too. Really, what memories you are making for a lifetime...and the trip is far from over. Mahalo plenty!

you just watched the trailer
Dear Amy Thank you very much for visiting our country.I hope u liked it.But i must say that your visit to india is almost like collecting a FEW SANDS from all the beaches of this world....... Mark Twain, American author: "India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only." Hope you visit it again in future..... stay safe. peace.

Photos on train
Next time, go ahead and click. People in India don't take offense as they would in the West. In fact, they would probably have been amused that you were taking photographs of them. This is probably applicable anywhere in rural Asia.

Kenya
Amy, I'm loving the blog and photos --- update more often!!! I know how bad the internet is in that part of the world, but we have fun living vicariously! Your safari pics look amazing. Did you stay with Dan and Edwina?!?!??! I can't wait to hear about it in more detail. So, here is my trick with the touts... you have to think that bothering/trailing you to sell you shit is their job. It's your job to pretend they are invisible. The minute you acknowledge their existence they get even more persistent. Dan likes to hit them with his backpack. And I hate to tell you, but there are just as many aggressive touts in India. But, you'll still have a blast!
