I sent you an email, but I thought I would comment here too. The animals look so impressive I have to keep reminding myself of the scale- as you are so tall the jaguar is massive!! I like the photo of you wrestling one. And the stalking mono looks well scary. I love reading the accounts keep them coming. Cuidate y mandame un mensaje si tengas tiempo. Estoy pensando en ti x

What a brave soul you are. Makes my trip to northern cyprus look very tame. Can't wait to read the book - palinesque style of course. Try to avoid flying if you can. Few dodgy planes out there. Back at school myself getting ready for the day job. Carry on exploring! God bless.

The Colombian Experience
These diaries are brilliant, and evocative, and occasionally scary for a parent. How are you changing/developing/evolving in yourself? We eagerly await your next weblog. Thank you. God bless.

Hey Alek, your latest blog had me in stitches! Believe me, I know the feeling, my homestay in Senegal is in many ways just as weird (but then the whole country is insane so its hard to distinguish)! Anyway, glad to hear you're having an interesting time, keep 'em coming and good luck. - Dr. Love

Hey Alek, so this is what you're up to. Really good to hear from you. You seem to be having fun helping out those kids, keep up the good work, perhaps the most sensible thing you've done since I met you (haha). Hope you're keeping tidy and washing up cos I dont remember you doing much of that while we lived together. How long are you in Ecuardo for, are you going to other countries, when do you get back...all these questions, they all await your answers. Be good and have a pint of local beer on me. G - G

First Blog
Like your blog-- I just discovered what one was--due to planning a trip to SA for April - July. Will be in Quito sometime in June/July. I teach English to Spanish people in my city, so I appreciate your efforts to learn Spanish! I'm cramming right now with a tutor. Myhusband had a similar experience in Cuernavaca, MX-- he stayed with the previous mayor of the city as a host family. And everyone LOVED Bill Clinton! I like your approach to the childrens' propensity to fight. You're a real ambassador! Good luck. Candy from Little Rock, AR, USA - Candy

Hey
Hey Alek, Well sounds like your having a good time Mr. How did you get involved with the kids then? Had you organised it before you went away? And how the hell did you manage to end up living with the ex Finance Minister of Ecuador? lol. Life ok here. I am now sitting in the very seat where you were working for Nick for a few weeks on module registration (yawns) easy but boring. Ross, Steve, Lucy and I are meeting up in London mid-March to have a catch up and are meant to be doing something 'cultural' although I don't hold out much hope of that! lol. Anyway keep in touch.
