You had me at dumplings!
I can never say no to dumplings and these look especially silky and yum! I love it when dogs in new places adopt us and follow us around, it's always difficult to leave them though :)

They were really good.
My dumpling addiction is suffering in lockdown. It is hard to leave all the cute animals, if only my backpack were bigger...

Georgiadi House

Taking me right back!
I've loved looking through all your Plovdiv photos, and it's taken me right back to walking through the charming streets with those unique Revival era houses. Ah... great travel memories :)

Beautiful Plovdiv
We really enjoyed our time in Plovdiv, especially the old town and Kapana district. Lovely to see you got nice sunshine even in winter :)

Stern

Sorry!
So sorry! I don't know how I missed those extra photo pages! Thanks for pointing me to them. I do remember seeing the "Chups..." one and I believe the one by Stern. I believe I have one or two painted walls on my own Sophia page but they are different from yours. Thanks!

Nice Review of Sofia
Too bad that you didn't make it to Rila Monastery due to your guide's car trouble. When we were in Bulgaria last May, we missed the time for meeting up with a day tour of Rila so that was disappointing too. The graffiti tour sounds interesting. It would have bee nice to see some of your photos it. I remember seeing several good pieces in Sophia while walking around. Nice photos!

Thank you!
Sofia has lots of interesting graffiti. There are some photos of the tour on the 2nd page. Sorry that you missed out on Rila Monastery, too.

Faces in buildings...
I'm one of those people who always sees faces or animal shapes in things... and I loved the attic window 'eyes' in Romanian buildings. But these 'eyes' in Sibiu need no imagination! I don't think they look creepy either, but maybe a bit on the disapproving side? :D Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome.
I read that they added to the feeling of being watched under Ceaușescu's regime. I bet that there was a larger amount of paranoia then.

Sighisoara
We loved this old town area, and our hotel was in the pink building to the far left of the photo. We were there in June, so it's nice to see your charming snow filled photos :)

Qufu
Great to see a blog on Qufu that was full of so many great highlights for us...Homestyle Soup with worms & centipedes...Han Dynasty stone tablets...the old city wall...and the Confucius Cemetery on pushbikes with no brakes. Great to see the Cemetery from your pics has not been glammed up.
