Hawker stalls
We've never visited the National Museum in Singapore and will definitely need to add it to the list for our next visit. I laughed at the hawker stall man not letting you add the sauce to your noodles...they are so fierce about how their food should be enjoyed :)

I don't believe that Michelin star, ramen, and rediculaously cheap...
belong in the same sentence! We loved Tokyo other than the food.
5th September 2017

It's a bit of an oxymoron isn't it?
Hopefully I will get to try a Michelin starred place one day. Glad you enjoyed Tokyo.

Thanks for finishing the blogs for this trip...
I hope to walk the Wall someday soon, but will probably only walk the sections where the wall remains...about 50 of the 80 miles...and do about 10 miles per day.

You're welcome!
It has been on my to-do list forever. Glad I got it written up. I am looking forward to reading your experiences when you do it. Thanks for the blog about the St. Olav Way. I'd never heard of it, but you've inspired me to what to walk it.

Great photos!
Lovely photos. Looks like a nice hike to do in the sprintime. I however went in the winter and it was quite difficult without crampons! http://ramblinmurph.com/2015/04/28/seeking-the-summit-of-hallasan/

Thanks. I bet it was beautiful in winter. I thought the toilets would smell better though. I enjoyed reading your blog.

Military Installation

This is a radar station built in 1974-1975...
I was the construction manager. I blogged about surveying the mountain in December 1968 and then returning in 1974 for the construction. Thanks for the recent picture.

Bejindo
Hello! I was wondering if you could tell me about your pension in Bijindo? Perhaps how you booked it, or what it is called? I really want to spend a weekend on Bijindo this May. Thanks :)
5th April 2016

Hi, I can't remember the name of the pension. If you know Korean or someone that does, you can search on naver for pensions and minbaks in Bijindo. It will list their websites and/or phone numbers. I've stayed in two places on the island and I preferred the place on the beach next to the police station. Hope this helps. :)

Enquiry on Transport and Accommodation
Hi, My friend and I are interested to go to both Wolchulsan and Jeungdo. Can I check whether you guys self drive? Also, would you be able to recommend accommodation in Jeungdo Island? We are foreigners and do not speak Korean. Thank you and Regards, Jasmine
1st April 2015

Hi Jasmine! I went on a tour. If you are driving it should be easy to get to the park and to get around Jeungdo Island, if not the Korean Tourism website has information on how to get to Wolchulsan. Also tourist information offices in the local area will be able to tell you how to get there, they normally have staff who speak English and provide cheat sheets with buses number and times on them. I stayed on Hwado Island, a small island connected to Jeungdo. The tourist information may be able to help with booking, if there is nothing available on line, or you could just ask at the accommodation, the owners may not speak English, but they will be able to sort you out with a room, or guide you to somewhere with spots available. Hope this is helpful. Enjoy your trip! If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask.
