Greetings from San Francisco, where yesterday, at 6am, I arrived after a night train and bus, looking less than fresh and functioning on two hours sleep. Feeling cold and pretty much like a bag of crap, I took a brief wonder around the Golden Gate Park and maybe slightly negatively began to wonder what all the hype re San Francisco was all about. The surprising chilly air here soon saw me into my bed around the 8pm mark last night, where in my dorm, I met and proceeded to chat away with two very friendly Swiss girls. After a caffine [View Full Entry]

Greetings people and warm hellos from a place I like to call Plastic / Sex Pest Central, known to most others as Miami. I have found my way down here after the speediest 2.5 weeks ever and have no idea where time has gone and let me here apologise for being lame at staying in touch. Thanks people who have messaged me - I love hearing from you and I really miss people even though this trip is so much shorter and time is flying. The shinanigans began in New York, where Elisa and I borded our VS 35 (??!) plane [View Full Entry]

Hello once again and for the very last time on here, from a place I have been excited about coming to for weeks. I am in the city that never sleeps, aka New York. It is so good to be back here - I have been looking forward to seeing Anna and Dai for so long now, and as they have chosen such an amazing place to live, it means I get to visit here again :) Even after three hours of sleep the previous night, Nic and I wondered the streets of New York yesterday with animated eyes and curious [View Full Entry]

Last night in New Zealand
Last night in New Zealand
Cosmopolitans to mark our final night here.....
Hello all, for the last time from beautiful New Zealand. We are once again in Auckland city, where, for the thrid time last night we crashed and landed in transit. We have been here for a day of laundry and chores in order to organise ourselves to leave for Fiji tomorrow at ridiculous o clock - (otherwise known as 5 am). The week that has been since I last wrote has been one of the best, if not the best I have had here in New Zealand, as Nic and I made our own way around the Northland by means of [View Full Entry]

SUNSET

Hello all, once again from Auckland, where we very tiredly arrived on a bus full of very whacked looking travellers, most of whom at the end of their magic trail and ready for a rest - or some about to take a flight home / to another country. For us, our arrival into Auckland it is a stop gap - a quick clothes-washing fix, a twin room at our hostel in order to get some good shut-eye (fingers crossed) and a little day of preparation before the next and final chaper of our New Zealand adventure begins. We bid farewell to [View Full Entry]

Hello everyone, from NZ's Capital City, namely Wellington. We just crashed and landed here last night when our Interisland Ferry arrived from the South Island. It was a sad bye bye to the South Island yesterday morning as once again, we found ourselves in Picton awaiting our Ferry. We have followed the Magic Trail from BEAUTIFUL Lake Tekapo through to Christchurch and then on to Kaikora. We are here to check out the rest of the North Island, with hope of visiting The Bay Of Islands at the end of our time here in NZ. Lake Tekapo has to have been [View Full Entry]

Lovely views :)

Greetings from Lake Tekapo, from our YHA hostel, otherwise known as heaven. From the window I am sat near, all I can see is a shiny, turquoise lake, with a section in the middle that looks like a very large mirror. Apart from the odd ripple caused by wind, the water is calm and the atmosphere tranquil. I could honestly stay longer than our allocated three days. Nic is currently outside sapping this haven of peace and beauty and re-uniting with her journal and knowing I have been somewhat neglectful of this blog and indeed at getting in touch in general, [View Full Entry]

Hello everyboday from Nelson, where our bus came in about five hours ago and we have since settled into yet another chilled out back-packers with homely touches and a drop of white Our arrival here has been on the back of some questionable modes of tranport, including a somewhat rocky ferry ride where waves engulfed our boat and we shook more rapidly than leaves on a tree during gale force wind. (okay a slight exageration but it was rough). Our last main stop was Taupo, which for me has been the most memoable stop yet. As not only did I do [View Full Entry]

Greetings one and all - or KIORA! - from New Zealand, Rotorua of the North Island. We landed in Aulkand nearly one week ago, straight into the flow of yet another fast moving week. Our time in Sydney fullfilled our plans nicely - chillax, see some of the great sights and get in some R and R. We managed to blag a room in Tracy's rented house for a week - thanks to another housemate moving out, suddenly, the sub-letter allowed Nic and I to have the room for fourty of your English for the week each - bingo. It's good [View Full Entry]
