My name is Yee Wah. I am chinese and was born and bred in a small town within the North West of England, United Kingdom.
I have developed a passion for travel. My aim is to visit lots of beautiful places around the world, explore different cultures and experience different ways of life whilst I am still young, single and free.
I feel really inspired by other travellers on this amazing website. Reading so many interesting blogs makes me want to explore the world even more.
I love the idea of writing my own diary/blog to record my thoughts, feelings and travel experiences then sharing them with my family, friends and like minded people from around the world. I will be able to look back on my diary entries in years to come, cherish the special memories and re-live the precious moments that I currently hold within my heart.
My journey around the world has only just begun...

Exploring the essence of Edinburgh Monday 12th November: I woke up bright and early, had some breakfast then made my way to Manchester. I arrived at Manchester Piccadilly train station just before 9.00am. I then met up with my sister Helen. She arrived a little earlier and was already sat on a bench waiting for me. I said to Helen that I hope she hadn't waited too long. We both were feeling excited about our short break to the lovely city of Edinburgh. Helen has visited Edinburgh several times and has told me previously about her love for the city and its special beauty. Some of my friends who have visited the city before have also told me that it is a lovely place full of history, beautiful architecture and cobbled pavements. It is a place ... read more

Magical Manchester Markets Saturday 17th December 2011: I woke up this morning feeling happy and excited. I was looking forward to meeting up with my special friend Chris. We had planned to exchange Christmas cards and presents on this day and also to visit the well known and popular Christmas markets in Manchester. After having a lovely cup of hot chocolate in Druckers Vienna Patisserie in the Arndale shopping centre, we walked to the German market in St. Ann's Square. There were lots of stalls selling a variety of Christmas gifts, decorations, snow globes, candles, scented bags of lavender, wooden toys, chocolate, stollen and warm chestnuts. There were also some stalls selling German beer and Bratwurst sausages. The sausages smelt delicious and I told Chris that I was going to purchase one later on! We walked ... read more

Nature's beauty is priceless - My amazing European adventure Saturday 6th August: Today was the start of my European adventure. I was feeling very happy and really excited about my itinerary for the next two weeks. I boarded the ferry at Dover port in England around midday. On board, I had a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich for lunch. I crossed the English Channel and arrived in Calais port in France around 2.30pm. I got the coach to Brussels - the capital of Belgium. I briefly visited the famous attraction Atomium. It is a silver monument consisting of nine large spheres and a number of connecting tubes. Some of the spheres have an exhibition inside and are open to the public to visit. I thought that the monument looked rather distinctive. It looked like a ... read more
