We arrive in Puebla late afternoon, our Hotel Royalty is an historic building on the arcaded Zocalo. It's a busy time of day, everyone moving around, families promenading, shopping streets still heaving, couples hanging out. We are only here one night, so wandering the streets gets the feel of the place. I find the artisan market full of crafts, they have many ceramic tiled facades of colonial buildings giving character here and tiles are on sale as souvenirs too. When we dine out together I get a chance to try Puebla's speciality 'pollo con mole' - chicken in a dark sauce of chocolate and chili.
