Hi Hon, glad to hear that things are going well for you. Working with kids is your passion and it's great that most of your days are spent with small kids and babies. It was good to hear that you're getting out to the beach and various activities during the weekends. The ride on the local bus sounds like an adventure in itself.
Things are pretty quiet around here, pretty dull really. Take care, continue to have fun and stay safe.
Love Auntie Barb and Grandma
The sun does shine wherever you are Hola Ms. Whitney,
So tales told may be not quite right.....glad to hear your news and think that perhaps you are sliding into the culture of manana (not sure on the spelling there but you'll get my drift).
Love Ya,
Glad to hear that you arrived safe and sound, regardless of long intervals between flights and worse yet, lost luggage. I am hoping and praying that your luggage will arrive soon.
Sounds like you put in fairly long days. What are your sleeping arrangements like...good I hope.
Have they got you into a routine yet?
Grandmas' television has started to have problems, so to prevent being without a TV Grandma decided to buy a new set. She bought a 32"HD LCD set, it has a great picture.
Love Grandma and Auntie Barb
Central America without Supplies Buenos Noches Miss Whitney,
Glad to hear you arrived safely. Sorry to hear your bags were lost - better get used to washing the 2 pair of undies you packed along... But seriously, I imagine you will encounter much that both breaks and warms your heart, and hope the time you spend in Honduras is enriching. Love Ya.
So happy for you hey whit, sounds like you're having the time of your life, i cant wait until you come home to talk to you about everything and see all your amazing pics. hows the backpack holding up?? miss you tons!! - Katie
I know you're home soon, if not already... I'm too busy drowning in a sea of papers and readings to notice the outside world. So have a safe trip when you do have to make it.
Also--seeing Dunnganon must be amazing. I'm excited to go there--thanks for being the first brave cousin to go. I'll be the (shorter) second one to follow there in your footsteps.
I need to do something with this redish hair of mine! :)
What a ride! Whitney I have truly lived vicariously through your exploits and have loved every minute of it. Sad to see it coming to an end but know that you are just finishing one great adventure to begin a new one. Stay happy, healthy and safe travels.
Hope to see you at the end of May in Edmonton or who knows maybe your wandering feet will bring you back out this way....
Love you - mean it!
Hi Hon, wow, are you ever seeing a lot of places and meeting a huge array of people. It does not seem possible that you've been gone for almost two months. I'm sure the time is flying by for you. I am anxiously awaiting your return to hear many stories regarding people and places!!! This past Sunday Uncle Brian and Auntie Marg had Grandma and I over for dinner. Of course a fair amount of the conversation was about you. Remember to bring yourself home a shamrock from Ireland. Stay safe and continue to have fun...Love Auntie Barb
Viva Venizia Oh Whitney, I'm so jealous thinking about you travelling in Italy. Just the best country in the world and how exciting to be in Venice during Carnival. I recall Mel and I spent many hours searching for a mask which she has on display. The costume shops were wild and you are a smart girl (maybe a bit Scotch like your Mom) to take the public transport on the canals (although if you had a Sugar Daddy the tourist gondola would have been a must). Hope you love Ireland - haven't heard a bad word about it but remember, you gotta switch from loving vino to swilling Guiness.
Hello, from a fellow travelblogger! I'm going to be traveling to Italy in a month or two and was wondering if you could give me some advice on getting around. I want to see...well, everything...and thought that a train pass would be easiest. The only one I've seen offers just three days within two months - I'll be in Italy for a week and want to travel more than that! I'm also a student. Any advice? Email: travel_goddess@hotmail.co.uk
Hey Whit!! I love your blog it is great that you keep up with it, I am sorry that it took me so long to write but your mom refused to give me your blog. We finally all went to your place and began a sit in until she finally gave it up...She is one tough cookie! Hope you are doing well, you look like you are having fun.
Cheers for now, Leslie
Hi! Hi Whitney! This is your long lost cousin Kim from Vancouver. Nicole told me about your travels! Thought I would write to say have a great trip and be safe! Hope you have a great time.
Fun in the Sun Looks like your really getting the full " flavor " all the countries visited todate. We are now freezing in Toronto so wish wew were THERE ! Take Care. Cheers.
Ma chere petite... We missed you when we had a birthday supper for your mom last Sunday. Or course I'm so happy to see that you have this opportunity to travel and meet very interesting people. All is the same but I find that time is really flying as we only have 5 month of school left. For some reason I find that this year is going very quickly. Take care and enjoy.

Keep rolling Miss Whitney,
Hope you don't mind but I've forwarded your blog to a few people. My friend Catherine is keen to read about your adventures and despite the miles of travel she has done, she wishes she would have done more. So enjoy every minute. Glad you love the little places, they really do hold the soul..
Take Care
Hi Whitney! Or boo-boo as you were once called. My mom, you might know her as marj hughes, says she missed you at your mom's bday dinner on saturday. I didn't miss you, so that's why i'm writing to tell you that she did ;)
Glad to hear you're having a good time! Bring me home a cute Irish boy okay?

Enjoy every minute, well not every minute do get some sleep!!! The Spanish do love their coffee strong, so that may help. Miss you lots hope you are taking lots of pics.

Hi Hon: You sure are covering a lot of ground in a short period of time. It's great that you're meeting a lot of neat and different people. I hear that you rented a Vespa and that was pretty crazy. You sure were brave to do that with all the nutsy drivers over there. I'm adventurous but you couldn't pay me to travel that way.
Auntie Marj had all of us over for dinner on Sunday to celebrate your Mom's birthday. It was very nice but we all missed you. We've all been anxious waiting for photos from you. When you have a few spare minutes please forward some this way. Uncle Dennis was in town from Friday to Sunday so we had a good visit with him. He took Grandma and I out to the Keg for dinner on Friday and everyone went to Grandmas that evening for a visit. We all had a good visit. Well I must close for now and as always have fun and stay safe. Love Auntie Barb.
Granada Hi Whitney, If you get to Granada try to see the Alhambra (palaces of the moorish kings) truly a beautiful place. Reservations required as they only allow so many people in the site at one time.
Took us all day and we didin't see absolutely everything. Keep on truckin'.
Uncle and Aunty
hola!!! I'm glad you weren't the illegal immigrant! your trip sounds amazing and seems like you're having a blasty blast...i love reading about your adventures and living vicariously through you!
whooooooeeee i miss you.
so jealous hey whit, every time i read your blog i continue to wonder why i live here. you are so lucky. its great that you are having an awesome time in spain, if you get the chance... head down to Malaga. its my parents favorite place in the world, and you know how many places they have been to. quick YMCA update (not that you care..hehehe) but here it is: had to cancel most of friday and tuesday lessons, which was a gong show, haha, and i was offered coordinator and turned it down, and they are about to give joey and/or malcom the position over mike cheung who has also applied... so hopefully after that news you can enjoy and appreciate your adventures even more. we miss you tons!!
