remembering Dear Roger and Jeanette, first and foremost may I take this opportunity to wish you and yours many blessings, good health and much happiness in 2017 from us all.
Like I have expressed to you previously Roger, I have found your blog most interesting, beautifully and passionately written all with a sense of wanting to share the momment and time of the places you are at.
Having been to Belgium at least 5 times in my lifetime, the cities best kown to me are Brussels mainly, Ostend and Bruges to a lessor extent.
As I read your travel log/blog I recall with nostalgia the beauty of ancient Brussels, going to Mass in the Cathederal and the service being carried out in French and Flemmish, all very spiritually invigorating even if i did not
understand it all.
The square near enough to the Grand Palace with the Manneken Piss. Rue de le Loi i think it was......and so much more.
going to a fete in a basement to celebrate Jamaicas independance one August and so many more thoughts recalled.
thanks for the memories.....
Roger your writing is so expressive it just makes every place come alive and you all in the pictures are really enjoying yourselves inspite of the cold. I guess the Mull wine kept you warm.
Please keep blogging, allow us to remember with you....... thanks, thanks Au revoir ccg
Just want to wish Jeanette and Les a beautiful 2017 filled with good health and Good Karma, and blessings.
Happy New Year Jeanette and Roger,
Hope your new year continues in the wonderful spirit in which it started! I particularly enjoyed the pics of the street lighting.

Best soup You have to try the lentil soup at Gobble, opposite Place Carenage. It is the best lentil soup in the world! This from the flattered Swiss hostess
Jealous! Oh Roger ......... I so want to eat that Julie mango............fully agree about it being the most delicious variety. And the local fish and ground provisions ........huh! And the paw paw. As for the bread ........ I used to know where every little local bakery was located, but sadly can no longer have that enjoyment. Enjoyed your blog but am wondering whose son died? Please give my love to Jeanette and I hope you both continue to enjoy every minute on our island home.
We loved our two weeks in Morocco We found the culture and the foods amazing and would be happy to go back. The Atlas mountain drive made me slightly queazy but I ended up ok once the driver slowed down a bit.
Great description of a world still unknown to most of us.... Hi Roger, thanks for sharing your great adventures. It enlightens our minds exploring the world. The Fascination of travelling the continents and experiencing new cultures is a precious gift that our generation can enjoy, and it adds so much to our lives. You and Jeanette are to be commended of taking on that opportunity. Happy travels and looking forward to your next report.

My name is Roger and I am originally from the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia but now live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My wife Jeanette and I have traveled to all the continents with the exception of Antarctica but nevertheless still have many other countries and areas that we wish to experience in the future. So far we have visited nearly 76 countries and territories worldwide, some of which we have visited multiple times and counting. We are particularly attracted to Europe and as an example, have visited Belgium six times and Spain four, making it eight times on the continent as of July 2... full info
