ISRAEL WEEK 1 "as two teardrops spontaneously dripped down my tired cheeks. I can't explain this unexpected emotion." I too had the tears nearly rolling down my cheeks as I read your words. You took me back there. You will see far more than I managed to and I can't wait to talk to you all on Skype when you get back to hear the excitement of your journey to the place where our dear Lord Jesus walked and lived and died and rose again........... so, so special. It makes the bible come alive and you will find you will read it in a very different way in the future.
Good to read your blog Roger, very interesting. My niece is in Israel currently volunteering, not sure exactly where, but if you come accross a Tamara aged about 40, she might be my niece. Please be careful, as I'm sure you always are. God bless you both xxx
I read your blog with awe; what a blessed experience you both are having. Roger from your description I can see how very emotional it is for you! Sign me up to go!
Thanks Thanks for sharing Roger, the photos are great, but they can never do this magnificient basilica justice. I'm glad you are as moved as we were by it. I've shared your Portugal posts to a friend whose family has just moved there and they will be visiting at some time. She said that you are a good writer and will keep the information as a reference.
Photography simply can't convey the deep meaning of this Holy site. I am pleased that your friend finds my Portugal blogs interesting and informative enough to retain as a reference. It makes doing this worthwhile.
Gaudie's words I like his statement: Anything meaningful takes a long time to build. I think that you can apply this to a relationship as well, a marriage, a friendship...
Great impressions..... Hi Roger, thanks for sharing your European adventure with all the impressions of their diverse cultures. Wishing you many more new experiences and a save return to Canada, eventually.
Many regards Manfred and Darlene
It seems like a non stop adventure! We already returned to Canada recently but have made in unplanned visit to the US. Just completed 18 holes here in Idaho.
Focus on food and fun - back in Spain Food was certainly the focus and who can blame you? It looked so delicious and tempting. Looks like you had another great time.
Portugal and Spain Hi Roger and Jeanette, very much appreciate your travelblog. Shows the world has so many great spots to visit. You can't see them all, but you have seen many. Wishing continued good and enthusiastic travels through Europe. Manfred and Darlene
An Instagram account would do your travels way more justice not to mention propel you to fame and the perks that come with it. Social media is powerful. I think you could easily get a huge following
My name is Roger and I am originally from the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia but now live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My wife Jeanette and I have traveled to all the continents with the exception of Antarctica but nevertheless still have many other countries and areas that we wish to experience in the future. So far we have visited nearly 76 countries and territories worldwide, some of which we have visited multiple times and counting. We are particularly attracted to Europe and as an example, have visited Belgium six times and Spain four, making it eight times on the continent as of July 2... full info
