Fingers in the Pai!
Hi Chloe, aren't you the witty one! Great title! I loved your last two entries. It is so lovely to get all your news. Loved Lisa's messages with her eyes re the guest house... I can just see her in my mind's eye. I am wondering how the ww rafting went. I hope it was exciting but safe at the same time. Is that possible? Dad took Veg and Trailer to the beach this morning, with Mia, and then left him at her place. he said he looked sad, as though he wanted to stay with dad and the ute. Ah!!! Love you. Mum.

Woven bamboo
Hi Chloe and Lisa.... where can we get that woven bamboo??? Only kidding! Mind you, dad might say otherwise. Lovely to hear from you again. What a shame about the fact that it was too cold to swim. I can't imagine that in your part of the world. Now, here... that's a different story. We decided not to let the fire burn overnight at the farm last night... big mistake! It's freezing. At least the sun is shining, so we can find a sunny spot in which to thaw. No, it's not really that bad. Mia and Jarrad are leaving Perth about lunchtime, so they will be here late afternoon. Am looking forward to having them here. I hope you get to do the massage course and all the other things you want to achieve while in Chang Mai. the days must seem numbered to you now and I imagine you are trying to complete your 'to do' list, as well as chill with Lisa. vegemite is barking in the background, Chloe. He and trailer are up in the shed with dad. he is a very happy boy but we are looking after his health too.... when Trailer jumps off the ute at the gate, although Vege would like to join him in the run home to the farmhouse, we don't let him, as we figure he is getting plenty of exercise anyway. Yesterday we took them into town to visit Tim and Annet. We walked them to the park with the kids and then on to look at the motel. Keep well and hopefully, keep enjoying all on offer. All my love, Mum

Blubber away
Mum, you can blubber over me anywhere, anytime and I promise not to be embarassed. I can't wait to see you at the airport. Hopefully you got the flight details. Don't bother coming to about 6.30. Hopefully we can avoid most of the peak hour traffic. Haven't planned anything for Africa yet but don't worry, loads of other single, female travellers have done it, plus I am planning to go with a tour overland- not like here where i'm just bumbling about. Love you, xxx

I am eager to learn what your plans for Africa are, as I am concerned about you travelling there, especially alone. have you actually booked anything, or are you waiting until you return home to do so? I can't wait to give you a big hug and kisses. Hope I won't embarras you at the airport and blubber!!! Continue to have fun. be safe too. Allmy love, Mum

Luxury for Lisa and Koala Lou!
Hello my darling. Lovely to hear from you, as always. I am glad you and Lisa enjoyed your bit of luxury in Bangkok.... you certainly deserve it after all the backpacking you have been doing. Did you feel a bit overwhelmed by all the western things, like the 'malls' and all the consumer goods? I can see you and Mia in my mind's eye as you were in Bangkok those 20 years ago, both weraing new green outfits and posing in the grounds of the palace, hair braided from Phuket!! Dad and I had dinner with Mia and Jarrad at their place tonight. Before and after the meal, Veg barely lifted his head from dad's lap, unless Dad momentarily stopped stroking him and needed a reminder to continue!!! He is such a lush!!! And dad loves it! Tomorrow dad and I are going to Joan's for a night or two. Dad needed a break from the farm.... the lack of rain is too depressing for him... so he has come to Perth instead of me going there. Hopefully the rain Perth has been promised by Thursday will also go into the wheatbelt. It was a 12 degree maximum in Merredin today, so no doubt the farm was a similar temperature. If it does rain at the farm, we'll probably go there on the weekend. he and I took your camera cards to Tony's business today, so fingers crossed. Love you heaps. Take care. Mum.

Leander.... not!
Hi my darling. How can a hot, steamy, tourist packed Asian place be like Leander St? Only kidding, I know what you mean. It is great to get more blogs.... you were quiet there for a little while. Glad to know you are living life to the full, as always. The places you describe all sound so exotic and my life is so boring by comparison. I console myself with the thought that I will be in Kota Kinabalu next holidays and Central America next year.... can't wait! Dad has decided to come to Perth this weekend....the lack of rain at the farm means he cannot do anything except brood and worry, so I am glad he will be here. Hopefully we can take his mind off it. Mia and Jarrad are coming for dinner tonight... beef rendang. Not quite as exotic as what you will be eating, but tasty nonetheless. Love to you and Lisa. Mum.

Let the good times roll!
Hello my darling. I am exhausted just reading about all that travel! I can imagine what dad would think!!!! Thank goodness you met some nice 'locals' to hang out with. How did the visit to the day care/school go? I can imagine the excitement building as you anticipate Lisa's arrival. I hope you have a blast together and enjoy that luxury that awaits....you have certainly earned it, as you have been doing it cheap most of the time. I am going to Mandurah on Friday to meet with Joan and Amanda for discussions on our Central American trip... looking forward to that! Take care but live it up!!!! All my love,Mum.

OMG!
Wow, what experiences you are having! Again, I am so proud of you that you can recognise the awe in your surroundings.... and see the positive side of everything. I was worried when I read you had hurt yourself.... but thank goodness it was not too bad. I agree with your comments about how the experience could have been improved, especially the safety aspect. Good to read in your other blog that you had a 'western day'. Sometimes a balance is called for. Love you with all my heart. Mum.

eh leeches
Hey Chloe, an awesome experience even if you did not experience a Gibbon. You must be good with heights. I was sorry to hear of your fall. You were a trooper to pull through and not let it stop you . Those leeches are awful things. As a kid we would swim in a local river each summer and as soon as you got our you checked for them. Hard to imagine that they used to use them for medicinal treatments. You have been having so many wonderful experiences and I am so enjoying reading all your travels. School is report writing (don't miss that do ya?) and it is an 11 week term so needless to say it is busy and long. We miss your sunny smile. Keep happy and enjoy yourself. Hope your bruise and pain have gone. praying for you my friend. Hugs and blessings Esther

Hello girls
A big, big hello to RAH and Lauren and all the other students who might see this message. It made my day reading your message girls. I have just finished an amazing few days in Laos where I ziplined my way through the jungle at a place called the Gibbon Experience. Unfortunately we did not see any gibbons but we heard their giggling during the day. This morning I arrived in Thailand and I will be here for about 1 month. I am trying to find a course where I can learn to speak a little bit of Thai. I will use the internet to help me find a place. I hear that Perth is very cold at the moment. I hope everyone is staying healthy. Soon it will be school holiday time again. I bet you are looking forward to sleep-ins and relaxing days. RAH, tell Mum, Dad and Lainee I say hello. Thanks again for the wonderful email. Big love ands I'll see you soon, Miss P. x

Hello from DOWN UNDER!
Hey Miss Pond, its Lauren's birthday and i decided to show her your blog. (Everyone misses you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!) We are enjoying year 6 very much but would be better with you. We are eating LOADS of lollies but just enough so that we don't get a sugar rush. PSSA is AWESOME. Everyone enjoys it so much! Just last week we played against South Halls Head and Vollyball ( Rachel-Anne's Sport) Won 3 sets to nothing. while the Netball (Lauren's sport) also had a big win with 13 to 4. The Footy team also had a win, thrassing by 56 points but hockey and soccer had a tragic loss and in the end even though they lossed we comforted them and then they were all happy in the end! At the moment everyone is excited about your visit back and can't wait to see you. Everyone always talks about you and love to hear about your travels and we know for a start that we are looking forword to your visit as much as everyone and hope to hear from u soon! Love Rachel-Anne and Lauren Page
