Hey everyone! Jacob and I are happy newlyweds living in the picturesque Ontario, Canada. I'm not much of a photographer, but Jacob is a fantastic photographer. I am a professional musician and he works in the auto industry. I will most likely be the person writing here, and if you see beautiful photos, they are probably Jacob's, or they were one of my flukes!
This will be a space to keep diaries and photos of our past, recent and future travels. Easy for our friends and families to see and read, and hopefully meet fellow travelers!

I spent 5 weeks in Graz, Austria this past summer. I had never spent so much time in Austria before, and it was rather lovely. Graz is a wonderful little city, over 850 years old it is the capital of the Austrian province of Steiermark (Styria). Its beautifully restored Altstadt (Old City), it is the largest in Europe and all this makes it an architectural treasure. Steiermark has a beautiful and varied landscape ranging from magnificent mountains for hiking to green hillsides and valleys for food and wine production. The long and rich cultural tradition of Graz and Steiermark dates back to the 14th century when Graz was the residence of the Austrian Emperor. That tradition continues today through the Opernhaus (Opera House), Schauspielhaus (Drama Theatre), the excellent concert halls, and an exciting and creative concert

It's a peek weekend for the leaves and it is a good harvesting time. Many Thanksgiving traditions in Canada include a church service followed by a turkey dinner with all the fixins! This pas weekend we were pretty relaxed. On Saturday we went around town to the various markets and bought lots of fresh Vegetables and fruits. We then cozied up on the couch and watched a canadian tradition....Hockey is back! I made some snack and we sat and watched the Toronto Maple Leafs play against the Montreal Canadians...otherwise known as "The Habs". How perfect...two rivals! Although we were rooting for the different teams, my husband and I had a great time...I'm a Habs

I moved there because I was offered a job at the University of Tennessee which is a flagship University, the largest in the state. Knoxville is a wonderful city situated on an international waterway. It is located just outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is home to the University of Tennessee Volunteer football and basketball teams. There is lots to do in Knoxville. First and foremost, the seasons are incredible and it is a very tempered area, which means that it is never too cold in the winter and the summer, although hot, is very tolerable. The spring brings blooming at the beginning of March, just in time for the famousDog Wood Festivalwhich happens in April. I live in one of the

My friend Daniel and I decided to rent a car and drive to Paris. It was a great idea and I spent some of the best times of my life, up to that point, during this trip. It was about an 8 hour drive from Oberaudorf and that was okay since we had good CD's to listen too. The surprising thing was the cost of the tolls on the way there. Some were okay, but some were as expensive as 16 Euros...if I remember correctly. It was late July and the weather was hot but pretty awesome. We arrived in Paris late on

Our first stop was Verona to see an opera and then off to Venice. We only had one day to experience Venice, but what a day this was! I was with my dear friend Daniel and we spent the day walking around Venice. We saw the sights and enjoyed some beautiful weather. Not much money to do anything, I did splurge on a Gondola ride. It was worth every penney! In the evening, we had to get back to our transportation, and got caught in a massive rain storm, it was so big! We got wet, but had a wonderful time running through the Piazza in the rain. I hope
