Awesome pictures! Good Morning all! I was actually wondering where the Wanderlust tourbus was for the earthquake! The kids and I were in Greece in a concrete building for a 6.1 and it is a very odd sensation for sure (I did put a bag of essentials by the front door and all of our shoes by our beds after it ...just in case)...building are not supposed to sway that much...esp. in the Middle of the USA!!!!! Your eyes once again have seen things that just must blow the mind away for sure.. to have some fresh snow on the mountains really makes the vistas even more specatular I am sure! BUT...by far the best shots you posted were the ones of you at East meets West and the crew under the arch! Sooo happy for you all and geeez...what a great trip for you! It is rather huge, and mundane through the middle of the country at many points and for great distances--but to know that such natural space exists and so much fresh air can get recharged somewhere...it is a perk to a trip like this. It is great to be able to grasp the magnitude of our country and revel in the fact that it is not all built up and overpopulated everywhere. Just saw a "push" for Copper Mountain on Jettsetter recently...the pictures they have of the area and resort just do not seem real! Impressed you had the strength to not ski:)
So glad all is well and life is good! November keeps on coming! Weather here in the east is nice...taking its time settling into fall!
Best wishes and continued safe travels!
Mammoth and Yosemite Beautiful Pics, and 'sounds like a crazy and eventful day. I'm envious but very excited for your all to be on such a great adventure together...
Little known - Mammoth Lakes is the training ground for some of the best long distance runners in the world! Lots of altitude, lots of trails...I hope to visit some day too!
Wow!!! Who needs Calgon when traveling with the Wanderlust Crew! I was so thrilled this morning to see a new posting...sipping coffee reveling in the glory of --- a Thursday:)
How amazing your pictures are...and believe me when I say I TOTALLY understand it is soooo hard to capture the magnitude, vastness, and essense of something momuntental and magical...but you did take amazing and awesome pictures! To think you have seen those vistas with your own eyeballs! That is something I tell the kids all the time...taking something in first hand with their own eyes...what a treat/gift/treasure! Thanks for sharing! We faired well through our Nor'easter...(the big Magnolia on the side did get hit pretty hard)...and there is still a bit of snow on the ground. Sun is out.
You are giving yourselves the gift of eternal mental travel...it will take many fun months to really process all that you are experiencing on this journey...what another great life time reward of the trip.
Stay well...continue enjoying, revelling, experiencing and sharing! Drive safe and fair weather! Hello to all!
Life is good This is what life is all about!! I'm very happy to see you are all having an awesome time. You will cherish those memories forever. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them with us. Mom & dad, just want you to know that had you been in NB, you would have to use your snow blower. I felt I had to let you know about this, just in case you miss Edmundston. LOL....love you all!!
What happens in Vegas.... Hello all! Owl is lucky that his pelican joy ride happened in Vegas...cause anything "flies" there...(sorry had too)...Woody and Buzz Lightyear look pretty happy as well with their lovely ladies! Sitting here this cold, damp, foggy fall morning...I wa thrilled to see a new Wonderlust Tour posting! You have has such good weather! It is a great time of year for this trip! What wonderful things you have seen! Travelling down a road or highway, we never know what delights we drive right past...but on an epic trip such as this...seeing the big and wonderful attractions - either man made or natural is just one giant amusement park of an adventure! I think Americans should adapt a version of the extended European holidays so that more can get out there with their friends and families and have these great expereinces rather than try to squeeze a vacation in a week or so...The smiles on everyones face is just wonderful and we continue to wish you safe and happy trails! Keep the sunny and warm weather pictures coming!

Just joined your blog I have just started to read your blog. Donna was in Vancouver last week and she gave me your link. It looks like a fantastic trip. So if you are planning to come up this way, would love to see you all. Remember me?

WOW!!!! Great pictures! I can't believe the weather...what a treat! Make you want to get a convertible? Or super appreciative of AC! Speaking of cars....has gas been cheaper in the south and west than in New England and the North?
You always see in the movies the fun long distance drives down desolate desert highways...but it could get a bit bothersome to say the least wondering about the next station for sure!!!! When we drove from California to Minnesota when Michael got out of the Navy, (gosh back in 1996!) we broke down outside of Needles on our way to Flaggstaff Arizona....truckers saw we had a baby and a dog and would pull over to offer us water!
I am just so excited that the weather has been so wonderful for the trip thus far...makes it all the better I am sure. All of your adventures and wonderful educational info has been wonderful to follow, learn about and I am sure has taken all your followers down memory lanes of their own adventures! I can hear the excitement in your voice as you type!
Hi to all...safe travels...a wonderlusting you will go...
Howdy (ode to Texas) Hello! Wow what fun so far!!! 100 degrees!!!! It is getting cool here but I don't know if I would want it that warm:) Probably felt like you were in Stephen King's "The Stand"...desolate and creepy...glad you found people!
San Antonio.....that is a place that had been on my "to-do" but after all these years now "Bucket List" since I was 20...glad you gave it the thumbs up! Hi to the folks...drive safe and great pics...thanks!
Hey Wanderlusters! New Orleans seems like an awesome place to visit. Glad to see Dad is no longer fighting with the pump gaz or drinking pieces of glasses.Weather seems to be on your side...great stuff.
Back from Vancouver last night. I guess you heard about my episode...I never in my life experience being that sick...worst than the time in NB! The doctor told me that I have developped an intolerance to one of the toxin you find in raw fish....therefore eating raw sushi which is actually called Sashimi is out for me. I can eat sushi but with cooked fish in it. So sad as I loved Sashimi...especially in Vancouver. Saw Annette while I was there...she says hi and I will send her your link of your travel. She is so glad to hear about your trip.
So that's the scoop.
Love you.

Glad to hear you guys had a great time. French quarters looks like a great place to have lots of fun....what happens in New Orleans stays in New Orleans!
Happy that you having a good time After reading all your blogs, it's evident that you should not let Joe gas-up again.
We arrived from Vegas friday and we had a marvelous time. Wonderful scenery in the Canyon and the strip is sparkling in the evening. If you want a exceptionnal hotel, go to the new one "The Cosmopolitan", if not we stayed at the Vdara Hotel situated behind the Cosmopolitan, and it's a beautiful hotel also.
We will continue to follow you on the blog. Have a nice trip and a wonderful time.

Hello Mom, Dad and Debbie,
It's nice to see you are having the time of your life. Looks like you had planned your trip perfectly as you are visiting a lot of nice attractions. I see that dad is up to his old tricks again in trying to save some money. I can’t believe the restaurant felt for the “there a piece of glass in my cup”. You did it again dad!!! Free meal for people on “fix income” Way to go!! Kidding aside, glad you noticed that before swallowing it. Keep on trucking, love you guys.
By the Way, Trevor got his driver’s licence now.
Well have to go now, as real people have to work!! LOL
Wow! Oh Debbie...sounds wonderful...excitement, danger (glad that worked out well--glass, that is just so crazy and scary) and what vistas! So wonderful...and such popular places so wonderful to see! "They", are saying here that because we have not had any good overnight cold temps our foliage is sub par this year...so really enjoy what you can! Stay safe...thanks for the update...hope all is well...hi to yor parents. Here...well the nice temps are slowly fading and the rains are coming again. I have been painting and "wonderlusting" with you!

The Wanderlust tour across America. You may ask yourself: "What is the Wanderlust Tour?" Well let me begin by saying that I love to travel. I've worked over 25 years and September 22nd, 2011 was my last day at work. I'm going into a "semi" retirement mode and plan to travel across the USA. I'm traveling with my parents and my beautiful sister in law who will join us a bit later and complete the tour with us. If you've ever heard the term "Bucket List", well, it's a list of acco... full info
