Hello! Well well well, we dont have alot to say but we have a big day planned tomorrow so I thought I would post an update quickly tonight. Meal at Coco Palm I forgot to say in my last blog about the beautiful meal we had on our Temple Tour day. Tong recommended it and Charlie took us there. It was near the Grand Palace and called Coco Palm. There were 4 of us and we had 5 nonalcoholic drinks, a large beer (mine of course - equivilent to 2/3 beers in Oz) and 3 entrees and 4 main meals and the bill was 499 baht (around $16 AUD).. If you get a chance to go there you should! It was brilliant. Shopping at MBK Yesterday we decided we needed some 'us' time in an airconditioned ... read more

Hello everyone, Me again! Just thought I would give an update and some thoughts on our trip so far! Bit of a mish-mash blog, but we leave for Chiang Mai tonight so thought I finish our Bangkok report now! Today we are just heading over to MBK shopping centre to get into an airconditioned building for some shopping, food and maybe even a movie. Day 2 - Temples, Tuk Tuks And Khao San Road We were up bright and early for breakfast, before meeting Mike and Susanna and our guide Charlie (one of Tongs team) for a walking tour of Bangkok and the Temples/Grand Palace. I have to say I am templed out for awhile! It was a long hot day (although in all honesty it isnt THAT hot compared to what I was expecting!). I ... read more

Hello everyone, Well what can I say... for those that know me, you wouldnt be surprised at the mishaps and adventures... it seems wherever there is a Reety there is trouble!! The Flight Over The flight started off eventful, after Dad pointing out the 'lumpy clouds' on the way to the airport. Well yep as usual, Dad was right (again) and 20 minutes into our flight drinks were stopped being served (luckily I already had my Singapore Sling in hand) and the cabin crew sent back to their seats to await our crash! The 'lumpy clouds' lasted for about half an hour and then it was fairly smooth sailing the rest of the way to Singapore (in terms of the weather).... Unfortunately Reety's nervousness got the better of her and she downed 2 Singapore Slings and ... read more

Hi Everyone, There are officially only 18 more sleeps left until we fly out (Heath has 39!) so this is my final 'test' message to get the travel blog started for our adventure to Thailand. While we are away we will be posting a blog of where we are at, what adventures we have been getting up to and also some (hopefully) great photos! Your email addresses have all been added to our subscription list (either by me or you!), which means when we post a new blog, TravelBlog will email you with a link to the new diary (like it did with this one!). Alot of you may have received our blog about the Blue Mountains but since a few more people have subscribed and so I just want to make sure its all set ... read more

Hi Everyone, This is basically my first blog to get the site up and running. Thought I would post some pictures of my trip to the Blue Mountains earlier this year. It might inspire you to head there sometime! You will receive another blog in about a months time just to let you know about my Thailand trip. However this blog is mainly for me to see that it all works! We left the week before Easter and drove the 1200 kms to Bathurst. Spent the night in Hay ... arriving after dark... had soo much fun trying to pitch the new tent in the dark! Realising I only had one headlight working and the lantern had no gas! I did tell Heath that the new gas bottle wouldnt come filled with gas but he ... read more
